This isn't a game so much as a simulated world composed of single celled automata that are controlled through the introduction of stimuli. In this case, using scent. Due to this, you don't play so much as introduce different scent nodes that cause your STIMMINGS to alter their behavior. The goal is to advance deeper and deeper into the simulation, facing and destroying more powerful enemies. To do this requires acquiring special nodes known as relics from hostile installations and bosses that allow you to summon unique characters or buildings. It's very esoteric so you're not really going to know what's going on unless you have the brain for it. If you do have the brain for it, it can be quite engaging. If you don't, just put resources and buildings down and the stimmers will stim until they defeat the entire map.
