Well, I can't say many things about TAPE objectively since I'm one of the devs. We only hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoyed developing it! It's our first project and it has been made with tons of love, happy gaming!

This was a decent experience for the $10 that I spent on it, but it does feel a bit dry in terms of scares and horror. The camera mechanic is neat, but feels underutilized and tedious to use. What I really like about this game are some of the cool visuals/music and puzzles, as those really shine the most in this. If this weren't a horror game, I would suggest giving this a shot. Although they have a "Narrative Mode" that removes most of the scares and still allow you to grab all the achievements, you will absolutely need a guide to get all of them, as they can be easy to miss. Also, you will need to replay the last part of the game a few times to get all the endings, which can be annoying.

I really enjoyed my time with TAPE. It took me a while to get used to the unique puzzle solving mechanics of using the camera, but it is pretty interesting once you get the hold of it. I played it relatively early so I had to go through it without the help of walkthroughs which made some of the puzzles challenging, however, there is always a way out. My only criticism would be some puzzles being too out of context within the storyline: you know you have to do the puzzle but you don’t know WHY you have to do the puzzle. There are a lot of examples to this situation especially in the Mansion section of the game (https://youtu.be/bS78mO2gvWg). But overall, I enjoyed my experience with Tape, the nice narrative approach to a difficult topic and the lovely horror movie references that not only makes the player have fun (and at times lighten up the mood a bit) but also carries the story forward.

This game is a very okay, but not amazing game. It's got a fairly unique game mechanic with a decent story, however both game mechanics and story run out of gas by the end of the game. Pros: - The visuals on this game are pretty solid! Somewhere between that "realistic" detail and stylized design which I really do enjoy! The monster looks pretty cool and has a cool sound that lets you know it's close. - The gameplay mechanic of having a camera that can rewind or fast forward time isn't necessarily a new one, but it's a road less traveled and done well here. Your camera can fast forward or rewind time to shift and move objects into place. It's pretty neat for the puzzles you'll solve with it. Well really just hunting down items, but it still makes it a little more fun as opposed to just collecting keys. - The voice acting is pretty great here! Everything feels nuanced enough, not too stale, it does get a little flimsy at times, but overall, still a good experience! Cons: - The horror elements aren't really there. So this game really isn't marketed as a horror game, more so thriller, but even then it's hard to see that. Sure there's an enemy that chases you, but it's not really enough to make you feel too pressured. There were several moments in the game that felt like it could've been a cool horror moment, but sadly, this ain't that kind of game. - The animation for grabbing items is the exact same emphatic gesture. Every. Single. Time. It's a bit annoying. I know it's nitpicking, but every time you pick up an item it's 1. Hand comes out 2. Dramatic pause 3. Rear back 4. Swipe item And it's just annoying to see it rather than a quick grabby motion with the fingies. I appreciate the extra detail in animation, but it feels very robotic after hours of it. - The game overstayed it's welcome for me. Once I had the concept of moving objects with the camera down, the game never really explores more beyond that. By the end of it, the story had gotten a little flat and predictable to the point where I was ready to just receive my ending, but the game wanted me to float a bunch of stairs around some more before I get that. Overall, this was an enjoyable, fairly unique game that isn't quite horror and lingers for a bit too long for my liking, but I'm glad to see another entry in the thriller/horror indie game space.

A really interesting mechanic for a well narative driven game. Don't expect so much horror, but more like a psychological fear experience. Worth every cent.

TAPE is a great game with an enthralling narrative and original game mechanics, I was hooked on the story through the whole game. Puzzles are not too difficult, they are challenging but not overwhelming, you can continue through the game easily. I recommend it to everyone who searches for a enhancing narrative experience wrapped in a mistery atmosphere.

Great game! A captivating story with some horror touches and a very well done atmosphere. With simple but interesting mechanics to create nice puzzles. The setting is great, full of 90's spanish references. The best: The puzzles with the camera. The worst: Maybe too many encounters with the "enemy".
