All in all, Hidden Western is a pretty simple hidden object game that will keep you entertained for a couple of evenings.

another game to find objects or items made in the style of the old wild west. The world in the game is colorful, which makes it a little more difficult to find items, but it makes it more interesting to play

Look for items on the wild west style map. The game has a pretty specific color scheme, which I personally found cozy in its own way. Otherwise, this is a classic representative of the game of the genre.

The game is ONE IMAGE, and it's 10GB, what the fuck. Refunding even though it was only $1.

Some kind of a simple and monotonous game from her series, the past ones were better

Had a lot of trouble trying to just open this game. Was about to give up and dislike for that when it suddenly worked. But it's still bad.
The huge size and price does not match the content you are given in this game (just 1 level that can be completed in less than half an hour). You are taking 8 euros for a game that isn't much better than a free browser game.
Wait for big discount (like 90 %) if you really need this (for achievements etc.).

This is the 5th review I have written for the Hede Game franchise and once again I am reviewing a disappointingly inept game not worth the price I paid for it. That the developers of the Hede Games simply ignore all the negative comments and recommendations for removal from the Steam platform beggar belief. This has shown me that some devs are simply in it for the money and have no regard to the players experience with the game.
I took screen shots of the many times the game resorted to a blank screen during the 15 minutes I played. The result was 11 times which is absolutely unacceptable. The poignant fact in this occurrence is the fact that all their games do exactly the same errors and have NEVER been redressed. Such a shame as these could be pleasant HOGs rather than frustrating ones.

HEDE's back to their old tricks! While their last outing Hidden Floating City Top Down 3D at least wasn't completely terrible - just far too expensive - the "developer" releases yet another "game" made with their own "HEDE Engine" and hoo boy, it's a complete stinker.
This must be an older game they had laying around. The most recent one no longer features the Unity splash screen while this one still does. Sometimes it's better not to release your older works ...
Like most of their previous "games" this one suffers from insane chromatic aberration which makes the edges of the screen very blurry. That's not a good idea with a hidden object game and actually caused me a slight headache. While they seem to have fixed the completely broken zoom feature it's still pretty terrible. The audio volume settings do save but only get applied after the rather tragic music starts to blare so prepare for a second of ear cancer.
As for the hidden object "game" part ... well, it's a western scenario tossed together from assets without any rhyme nor reason. Some items are pretty damn small, the preview's also tiny and while the "game" claims you are supposed to find "all similar" items ... you can't. You'll have to click exactly the one the game wants you to click, and if you happen to click on another identical item the game deducts one found item. Or not - this doesn't always happen for some reason. Pretty sure this can cause the game to spazz out and ask for items that aren't even there anymore which happened to me more than once.
Did I mention the "game" is about 10 gigabytes (!) on your hard drive? Because of the inane "HEDE Engine" all games made with it ship with all assets included in that abomination. Added bonus: as usual all three operating system versions are included in the download, tripling the size.
Add all this to the insane asking price of over 8 bucks before discount and what do you get? A big fat avoid. Just ignore the clowns posting positive reviews - they all have very likely been paid to do so.

Another HOG released by the same "developer", Hede. Although this has a similar concept (just one image available to tell you which object to look for) and probably the same level dimensions (or slightly greater) the file size has now reached 10 gigabytes following the 7.5 the previous title, Hidden Town, had.
Issues with the game are similar: using WASD for camera movement feels weird and only the mouse wheel can be used for the same purpose (this movement is a tad bit too fast, though). The same mouse wheel that can often be used for zooming in does not have this function here. Instead, use the zoom bar at the top. There is also a dropdown that makes the camera immediately jump to the center of the map (the 4 different options practically mean nothing as the result is the same).
Objects are difficult sometimes to identify - the game gives you scores but clicking on the wrong object takes them away from you. There is no associated achievement to this nor high scores to look at. And the image of the object you are looking for (the picture is in the upper left corner) is not clear / enlarged enough so it isn't that much of a help. You need to click on all wagons, for instance, when looking for it to see which one is accepted.
Avoid it if you can. Interestingly, of all the HEDE games I currently see in the store this is the only one at full price (almost 100 EUR, as usual) not enjoying the classic 90% discount. Which, what Augmented Steam labels as historical low, last occurred in April, 2022.
