I would have never thought to put the dang ATB system in a bullet hell shmup, but it works so well here! The chaos is real, and I love it

It's really fun if you're looking to sweat at a game or turn your brain off, and the art/music is a nice y2k kinda aesthetic. It can kinda get to be baby stimulus after some time, which is then "fixed" by a sentinel or some shit where there's a million things to avoid on screen so it keeps you invested.

A fascinating, on-going negotiation of space that I haven't seen in many (any?) other STG-type games. Shrinking the playfield as you do better makes for some tense moments that are evened out by the opportunity to use more weapons at once. I also weirdly adore the idea of your bomb effectively being on a timer, only able to be set off when that particular filled bar is ready again. The reclamation of that space stuns me. And the vectorheart/Y2K aesthetic? Swoon. Really looking forward to seeing where this project goes.
