Ib was my intro to RPGMaker horror 10 years ago, and it's been a favorite of mine ever since. The game itself is definitely nothing horrifying, but that's not to say there aren't moments that spook ya
It's easy to play through in a couple hours even if you take the time to backtrack and explore everything. I am able to play through several times and get every available ending in a day
I love the art style and it's simple, straightforward story makes it easy to follow. Some basic puzzles help keep players engaged throughout the game. It's a great game for folks who are just getting into horror, or even just folks looking for something that's short and sweet

This is easily one of the best rpg maker horror/adventure games I have played. I would describe this game as how it would feel to spend all day at an art museum and then come home with a fever. This story and world would be the dream you would have that night lol. I love both art museums and these kind of rpg maker games so I am a bit biased, but I highly recommend it. The puzzles are all simple enough to complete without a guide while still being mostly fun. The music is surprisingly good too. I ended up going for all the endings. There are quite a few. I only needed a guide to get the true ending, which is my only criticism. Its a bit strict to get it. But the other endings are also worth getting and easier to get.

loved the original version but love this version even more. the upgraded art is so good and well-made and the puzzles are simple but engaging. literally everything about this game is amazing (story, characters, music, ambiance, game play, etc). it's so eerie and reminds me a bit of alice in wonderland or coraline. and it's so easy to play through after you've already played it once so you can unlock different endings (all of which are interesting. promise of reunion made me cry).

I played Ib like 8 years ago, and it still lingers in my memory as a well beautifully written rpg horror game. It’s perfect for people that enjoy games like Mad Father, Okegom games, Witch’s Heart, and Yume Nikki. If simple pixel art style isn’t something you are familiar with it’s definitely worth to give a shot with this game since it also has short gameplay but despite that it masterfully builds tension and delivers a immersive world that’s as emotionally impactful as it is slightly creepy. A must play classic for indie horror fans. Buying it and replaying it has made me wish it got the same treatment as Angels of Death and got an anime adaptation

I originally found IB through a let's play video series on Youtube by a group called Grizzly Ganks. It made me really love the story of the game and the gameplay. I finally was able to get the game myself a while back and I've started playing through the game myself. This game and the game Mad Father both stick in my mind as games that are necessary owns in this similar type of game vein.

Ib (Eve) is a game that everyone who likes a story should try.
Great story and atmosphere and the puzzles are fun too.
Getting all the endings can be a bit trial and error, but it's worth it.
First play through are usually around the 3 to 4 hours.
Ones you know the puzzles you can speed run the other endings in a hour.
Not sure if the original freeware game is still on the internet.
But I didn't regret buying this remake.

A creepy/cute adventure game with a simple story told competently.
The sound effects and art do a decent enough job creating an atmosphere despite the limited visuals. The characters aren't given much depth, but they are still enjoyable. Having gotten the good ending on my first play through, there really isn't anything compelling me to go back and see the other endings.
The game is wildly overpriced and should only be picked up on sale a few dollars. As a short spooky experience though, you could do far worse.
