Not a long game, but fun. Especially sandbox mode. I may have spite over-engineered a rain catcher after it took so long to resolve the first time--but that's just me. ;)

Fun game. About 20 hours of game time if you take your time and look for all collectibles. Wish there a bit more things to build and a bit less to collect. Controls can't be changed so be warned if you don't have a querty keyboard or controller. Is it worth full price of 30€? Not for me. Wait for sale.

It's a solid game, but not perfect. Nice puzzles, nicely constructed locations, but that camera, sometimes terribly annoying. Controls are sometimes difficult, but not frustrating. Overall 6/10. Very good music, it makes staying in this game more enjoyable.

I think it is an amazing game. I am recommending due to the amazing content. definitely not because it is Lego. :)

I can imagine this game being quite the fit for children, which I assume is the intended playerbase. Sadly, it doesn't really do it for me. The controls are rather clunky for my taste and the game feels unnaturally slowed down with missing sprint and a rather awkward walking speed. It also has needlessly long and overly detailed dialogue that can probably be spiced up several times with a different writer for them. Again, they appear to be quite fitting for children. The building mechanics feel very clunky and slow. It forces to use a specific block pallet, which in itself isn't a huge deal, but THEN unlocks free build, which I fear isn't the most effective way to get people to express themselves, when they have a goal to get to in each world. There is also no real challenge in the Built itself. No points to occupy to get additional points or challenge you to use less bricks, both of which could get people to try out all sorts of designs. So, if you are a child or looking to buy your's a nice Lego Game that does encourage creativity (up to a point), I do recommend this game. It is likely safer than Minecraft's servers are, considering their often predatory and gambling like nature. For people who have played Minecraft for years, got invested into Terraria, the normal Lego Games, or other more creativity orientated games, I sincerely can't.

A huge highlight is building a helicopter or boat, then seeing it animated in the game. The 3D world exploration and puzzle solving were actually quite a compelling part of this game and had me staying up much too late. At least half of the Lego building tasks were either good puzzles, or fun art projects that had me enjoying them enough to try solving them different ways. A few unlocked minor perks if you did them a certain way (you can always rebuild to unlock the perk later). It took me most of the game to learn that in most areas, I could hit TAB to change which special power was activated by the SHIFT key. Because of this I had to go back over the whole world with the scanner. Some of the dialog is long and frivolous. The game designers were the kind of Lego builders who liked stacking one block directly on top of another instead of staggering them, and they often didn't provide the right blocks for staggering, which irked me. For instance, I would have liked to build stairs on the inside of the lighthouse, but I didn't get blocks that would do that very well. That's a lot of negativity about a game that was really a lot of fun to play. If you like Legos, building, or spacial puzzles, and don't mind it being extra kid-friendly, I strongly recommend this. I was able to get it for a few bucks on sale and got a lot of fun for the money!

I like most Lego games. Simple, lots to do... This is one of my favorites, though. It's heavy on mazes and puzzles, which I like. The puzzles often involve building with Lego, like really building complex things piece by piece, and in some places quite large things. It's what hoped Builder's Journey would be... but the actual "Lego building" was relatively limited in that one... this is the real deal. And creativity is encouraged. As you progress, you gain new abilities that make it essential to go back to the early levels to find more stuff you couldn't access the first time around (like the Lego Marvel games). But you can also gain access to more bricks, new brick colors, and entirely new kinds of bricks. This makes it fun to go back to your old builds in all levels and improve them to be sturdier, prettier, or, you know, it's Lego, so just go nuts, get creative, and have fun. In other words, the might be the most "Lego" of all Lego video games. I hope they release more DLCs or put out a sequel. This is a great Lego game for all ages.

Very relaxing & comfy LEGO themed puzzle game, wonderful graphics & each & every area with it's environment as far as I noticed is fully built using LEGO bricks, sometimes even using some very unique/unusual building techniques. There's also the typical goofy jokes/puns & references that LEGO video games have had for as long as I can remember. Additionally, there's 4 holidays themed areas with their own stories that were added to the game for free, instead of being put behind a paid DLC. My only complaint is that it seems like even in sandbox mode you're still required to make the buildings to the specifications given for them, which, while understandable, was a little bit disappointing when I tried to rebuild one of the buildings only to be limited by how wide it had to be.

Best Lego game I've ever played in my life by a long shot, period. Considering the sludge of bland, boring licensed crap the lego videogame brand has, that doesn't sound like a high bar, but still, this is an excellent and fun-as-hell game.
