I normally don't leave reviews, but I decided to make an exception for this game. What a charming platformer! The controls are very fluid, and it *feels* nice to move throughout the game world. It's also really refreshing and relaxing to know that there doesn't seem to be any big epic storyline, but rather just plain old platforming goodness. It's such a chill game to play and relax to, that even when things start getting intense, you still never leave that feeling of just pure relaxation and fun.
I think that the graphics could be tweaked a little bit. Not a lot. I actually like the unusual style of different resolution pixel art for different game elements. However, I think that the creator needs to be a bit more careful with doing this, as some elements can seem a bit jarring. The size of the character, for example, in relation to the animals, can be a bit jarring.
Thing is, it's not necessarily the size of the character per se. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I feel like the graphics need to be tweaked in order to open this game up to a wider audience. That's a shame, though, because the game just feels so smooth to play. The controls are so smooth and fun to interact with that I would recommend the game for that alone, lol.
It's a really neat game, and it definitely has a niche appeal. I think the creator will have to do quite a lot of work still to market this game. It's going to be a lot of work to get this game into the hands of the people who will really enjoy it. But it'll be worth it to put in the extra effort for marketing, as difficult as marketing will be for them. :D
