ERROR ALERT! READ TO FIND OUT
Maze Pedestal of Trials is a maze game that is smaller, but more challenging when compared to the first Maze game. Each maze has a unique theme that can keep you interested along with a puzzle in certain levels. This game also has a new checkpoint system that lets you return to spots that you've placed it on, which is crucial in some levels, so try to take advantage of it. Some of the achievement system is much more creative this time, along with with a few hidden challenges that involves replay-ability. Lastly, the game now starts with a full screen rather than a window screen which is a great improvement after the past few games. That being said, I've found one error in the game: The tutorial fails to mention that Y is to interact which is especially crucial to certain puzzles in the maze levels. When I tried to enter a maze, they said that I have to press A to enter, but instead it's supposed to be Y. As long as you remember this, you should be fine. As a whole, despite having that one error, Maze Pedestal of Trials is a great game for those who wants a challenge after the first maze game.

Ever do one of those mazes on the back of cereal boxes? Take that and make it a 3D adventure game sprinkled with platforming, hazards and collectibles. If that sounds appealing to you it'll be hard to be displeased with this. Finishing every achievement in the game at an hour and a half; for 3$ it offers pretty good value. Add a catchy soundtrack to that and you have a nice quick little game to pass the time.
If you're craving more a-maze-zing gameplay, the aptly titled "Maze" (by TreeFall Studios L.L.C) offers a more substantial campaign for an appropriate asking price of 10$.

A great entry to the Maze series, more challenging than the first one. I recommend picking up both Maze and Pedestal of Trials for the full experience.

Maze: Pedestal of Trails is the follow-up to Maze. Once again you wander through 3D rendered mazes avoiding obstacles and collecting coins. Shorter but more challenging than the first entry. Navigate using mouse and keyboard. I've already replayed a number of the mazes. Good value for the money, I highly recommend this game.

Similar to the first game Maze but now with more interactive puzzles, and a more focused and unique set of levels.

~2 hour game that features several different types of mazes (12 in total), with at least half being rectilinear (right angles only). With a name like "maze" you'd think the goal would be to simply find the end, but in fact it's actually to collect all the spinning coins first AND THEN exit. This gets to be pretty annoying in the rectilinear mazes as backtracking through a bunch of twisty passages, all alike is just tiresome, not fun. The first three mazes are of this type and are definitely the weakest levels. The later levels are genuinely fun, but rather short. I particularly liked maze 8, 11, 12, and the curvy level (maze 6?). The last two only unlock if you fish the ones before them.
It's definitely lacking polish, though. Some of the prompts (press A to open level) actually map to a different key on my gamepad. Nothing game-stopping but definitely annoying. Also, no remapping; and worse, movement and turning are very slow (with no option to adjust), and there is no single place where all the controls are summarized. You can tell this is a solo effort. But even in the roughness there's some really nice touches, such as the system that lets you set your "checkpoint" location to any spot in the map. I'd love to see that as a feature in other platform games.
That said, I'm fond of short (and appropriately priced) games to play between AAA games when I need palate cleanser, and this fits that bill, at least when on sale. The lack of polish and the uneven quality of the levels means it's only a weak recommendation, but if the dev were to release similar games with a bit more polish and the same price (less than $2) , I'd probably buy them at some point. This is nominally a sequel to an earlier, larger game, but given the issues I've seen with this one, I'm hesitant to buy an even earlier effort.

As a person who like mazes, played various maze games and find relaxing wandering in search for the exit, I give a shot to most maze games I find, since there aren't a lot around.
By looking at the steam shop intro I wasn't expecting much from this game, but nonetheless I decided to give it a try.
Well, how they says: Never judge a book by the cover.
I was super pleasantly surprised by this short but really nice game. The dev really put some effort in caring about the level design more than a fancy graphic, which is rare nowadays and put in various game mechanics that aren't just "walk to the finish of the maze".
Levels are curated and really well done, and all the extra tasks (coin picking, buttons that make the maze change, etc etc.) are a super fun extra to the usual maze solving play.
Well done and cheap, it sure deserves the money and it was a pleasure to play.
Consider that the game is very short but so is the price. I magaged to finish the game in 2 hours with 100% achievements.
