I recommend this game to anyone who enjoyed Braveland games or Romopolis - it's about the same. :)

This was fun! Enjoyable point-and-click time-management game. If you enjoy that style of game, then you'll probably enjoy this one!
AT A GLANCE

Game Name: Golden Rails: Road to Klondike
Original Release: 2022-02-24
Genre Tags: Casual, Time Management
Estimated Playtime (Campaign): 7-9 hours
100% Achievements Playtime: 8-10 hours
DLC Required for 100% Achievements: N/A
Multiplayer Aspect: None
Replayability: None
Recommended To: Casual Gamers, Achievement Hunters, Kids

REVIEW
Golden Rails: Road to Klondike is a casual, time management game. It is the third game in the Golden Rails series.
STORY
Gold has been found on the Klondike River and prospectors are flocking to make it rich. Jack and Jill decide they can help by building a railroad to help others get through the mountains and make their dreams come true. This time they have to deal with Scrooge, a greedy businessman trying to stop others from getting rich, so he can have all the gold.
GAMEPLAY
Each map has you doing tasks, like collecting resources and building buildings in a specific time frame in order to get a three star rating for each map. Some of the mechanics changed in this game as well from the previous games, but not enough to impact achieving 3-stars.
PLAYTIME
Much like the two previous games it is not difficult. I was able to get a 3-star rating on all maps the first time playing them, and with a lot of time to spare, so this game feels very easy. Play time is ~8-10 hours to get all achievements. Some achievements will need additional play past the end of the game to grind to 100%, but not as many as the previous two games.
COMPLAINTS
There is nothing specific to complain about for this game.
REPLAYABILITY
There is NO replayability on this game as there is no end game mechanics, no map metrics to try to beat, and no engrossing story to return to.
RECOMMENDATION
While the fact that the game feels like a once and done kind of game; I do recommend it to anyone that likes casual games or is an achievement hunter.

I like the sounds and the strategy of getting all things completed within the time frame for advanced players.

nice work, all is all right in this cute minigame, but the best are trains @!@! I recommend it mainly for children. Music is also beautifull. Everything in this nice game is cute & funny, so its for good people with positive emotions.

Third in a series of Wild West-themed resource management games. Your tasks are to develop towns and lay tracks throughout some rather harsh landscapes--with the help of settlers and natives. Graphics are good but I had some serious stuttering in Windows 11 that only going back to Windows 10 could fully resolve. Nevertheless, the gameplay then became smooth and responsive. Not much novelty; if you've played this before, it's not difficult, even in hard mode (there are three modes). Buying bonus helpers with your stars via the Train tab is a good idea and a red exclamation point on the tab reminds you to check in to purchase more. You get a level guide, wallpapers (which I personally would never put on here--lol) and music tracks. It's not the best work of this Russian-based developer/publisher team--I'd say it's more fair to middling. Much rather would have a new Viking Bros. or Rescue Team but nowadays you take what you can get. With the severe disturbance currently going in Eastern Europe, I better enjoy what I have now--who knows what the future will bring.

Easy to play while listening to movies on easy mode. I haven't tried the higher levels. So far I played the first 2 games and starting on the third. After I get over this virus, I will play the other 2 levels for each game to see how hard it is.

I also downloaded it from bigfish on my other machine. Play it everyday, morning coffee. Not distracting when listening to audio books. Fun and fair on easy mode. Good alternative to the hum-drum match3

This is a fun TM game requiring strategy in how you build, how many people you employ and how you distribute them. The bonuses come few and far between (purchased with stars) and you'll have to replay several of the levels to get the timing right. There are three modes of play (un-timed, normal and hard) and lots of achievements (two of which don't work). And there are these owls you have to find, which serve no purpose whatsoever, and it's annoying to have to find them, but not difficult. And personally, I really don't like superfluous, cutesy stuff. All in all, a good game. I played hard mode and found it a satisfying challenge. I'm altering my review to let people know that all of the achievements have been fixed and they all work perfectly! Thank you developers for working very, very hard to fix this.
