If you've ever wondered what 'The Stanley Parable' would be like if experienced through a lens colored by tainted LSD, then this is the game for you. It's slightly Liminal, quite quirky, humorous, and challenging. I've seen others mention a horror-element, but that was absent for me and my experience.
It's a 'hunt object/avoid antagonists/accomplish goal with found object' game-loop, and it's better than I expected by multiples. It isn't surreal, but it is odd, and odd will get the job done.
There are various maps and modes, including a sandbox mode, and different settings for difficulty. The game is by no means easy, and there are plenty of hidden sequences to keep you guessing.
The noise level when confronted is needlessly loud, and for no good reason, so that is a negative aspect that simply makes no sense to include.
All in all, there is far more here than I had expected, but then again I got it on sale for $0.39 (it's usually $3.99. Thirty-nine cents? That's a steal!).
