You want to behold something beautiful, spend some time passing like a butterfly and your day will be much better!

If I could, I would give this a middle thumb, because it's not terrible. The problem is that it's not super polished and suffers from the typical Unity Engine jank you've probably experienced with other indie games.

I think this is a great concept. I don't think it's well-made, or even really ready for a price tag.
My butterfly went jittery multiple times. I saw birds land on the ground... in mid air. The mouse sensitivity is way too low, even at max, and a lack of any proper controller support doesn't help, Atrocious optimization like every other free license Unity game, and no graphics settings; watching a 3070ti and Ryzen 9 choke on something so basic makes me cry inside. A nauseating low FoV, which when combined with the poor framerates, triggered a migraine, which is the exact opposite of relaxing for me. Stock new age music that isn't even culturally accurate half the time.
Knowing there's already so many flight-based zen games out there on Steam already, it's hard for me to find any real merit for A Butterfly's Dream over virtually any other option.

Visually it was very nice, soundtrack was also pleasant but got a bit repetitive.
The gameplay is just flying around collecting these shiny balls that give you new skins, and photographing different animals. That combined with the stiff controls and slow flying speed makes it a thumbs down for me, but if you enjoy VERY calm and slow gamplay, go ahead!

Cute game, with pleasing graphics and relaxing music. The flying mechanic takes some getting used to, as I'm used to playing with inverted controls -- so cue lots of me crashing to the ground when I intended to soar high and free. The world is a little smaller than it appears (you'll hit an invisible wall every now and then), but for the price it's good value and recommended.

Once you get a hold of controlling the butterfly flying mechanics, the game flows easily.
It's a quite relaxing & chill game and universe. The illustrations are lovely and soundtrack is beautiful and calming, like a nice dream indeed.
You'll cross with some bugs along the way though, like butterfly jittery, other animals floating randomly on map, and the butterfly hitting invisible walls once in a while... But still,
Pretty worth for spending a lil relaxing time.

Fly around as a butterfly and take photos of creatures in the area, and also pick up shiny, star like objects to get new wings.
The game's mostly chill and relaxing. Very inspired by Chinese art and philosophy(more specifically "The Butterfly Dream" by Chuang Tzu).
The game is visually pleasing enough, though there are definitely improvements to be had. Audio wise, there's some nice, fitting music playing the entire time, and some sound effects here and there - though it often felt as if the only sound in the game was the music.
Gameplay wise is where the game falls short though, as the controls are a bit clunky and unintuitive. I really wish this would be improved upon. There's also no external forces(for example wind) affecting your movement.
Another small critique is that a couple of the more interesting looking areas to explore are actually outside of the map, so you can't actually go there. (Ie. the large bridge and the waterfall.) I get that it's supposed to look like the world continues outside the playable area, but having places outside the playable area that looks more interesting than those that are inside makes it just frustrating.
There's also a bug that makes it so that all picture files for the photos you take just become the same one over and over again.
Also, 1000 photos for that last achievement felt a bit ridiculous. Highest one ought to have been 500, if even that. Start click spamming!
Anyway, generally enjoyed myself, but there's absolutely improvements to be had here.
100% in 1 hour 15 minutes. (Very easy.)

I have really enjoyed this game and find it relaxing. It's a little difficult to navigate the butterfly when it goes below the surface of the environment. That is my only problem with it. However, for the price of the game, I don't mind that it's not perfect.
I have browsed Steam games A LOT! There is no other game I know which has scenery this nice and also has achievements which are not too difficult to do. Usually in games like this, I have fun with it at first but then get stuck somehow. I might get stuck with a puzzle I can't figure out or an achievement I can't do. In this one, I have not yet gotten stuck with it. I have played it for HOURS! Thank you so much for this game. Hope you make others!

A very moody game.
I can spend a lot more floating around, thanks to the calming soundtrack that fits right into the aesthetic of the game.
I recommend to any player looking for a chill experience.
