A short but lovely little experience, absolutely worth the money despite having some of that my first game jank. It's roughly two hours to 100% The game is both charming and delightful. the level design makes good used of the movement and despite the occasional precise requirements with elevation changes it feels very well put together. The controls are smooth, movement feels fluid. Attacks do not feel at all impactful coming or going, with one exception, but that feels more like a limitation in the lack of animation experience and sound design than in a lack of care.
This game is by no means a masterpiece but it is very much a diamond in the rough. I would strongly recommend this game for anyone who misses the 3D platformers of yore from the N64 era. Whether it is intentional or just coincidence, their influence shines through. The only complaint I have is that the developer did not put enough currency in the game to buy all the cosmetic components and there appears to be no way to respawn enemies or containers to get more, which is an oversight.
This game appears to have been crafted with love, and an understanding for what made this genre great, even if the outcome is unpolished and the execution is a bit clumsy and inexperienced. The writing is perfectly serviceable and in some cases amusing. This developer has talent in this genre, and if they nurture their skills and grow their level design, they could be producing real, shining gems in the future.
