Nice game if you like management games and simulations, I tried to this game couple of years ago but now it looks better and more improvement. I also think about game for future we should see more licences, more supported languages, more playable leagues from Europe. During game tactic, we have to do quick substitions instead of clicking. Game time during matches can be little bit slower because basketball is fast game you have to react quickly. Biggest improvement also needs to be training . Personally I would like to see more training schedule and fitness for team or individual.
I also expect more transfer details and agent improvement. Like negotiating with staff or player must be more details. When I also transfer scout, it was easy to come to small clubs in Turkey, Im not sure club reputations has to checked properly. Good reputations coaches why need to come to club with no Euroleague. Im not sure about this.
I should also put my some players in shortlist. There is no right click button. To be honest, I didnt like finance, It is not necessary fixing sausage and beer prices. I would like to focus my game, Im not managing supermarket. I dont think Obradovic organising price in Partizan or you can be director either coach.
In future dev's needs to add press conference before and after game. Quick questions, simple AI.
Coaches also can be dismissed from game or warning from referees. I never seen any technical foul during matches.
But so far I suggest this game, hopefully dev's read this and try to improve.

Better than the previous game, but... the tactics engine still make no sense!
These is the ONLY sport game in which an NBA team can lose against a junior team.
Tactics should clearly matter, but...
Also, the game is SO SLOW to save, proceed from a day to another and so on...
It's frankly unplayable in this status, and I really think the devs should focus more on a easy tactics system and a FAST sim mode for the game are played by the IA.
I mean, this is really the SLOWEST sim game I ever played, period, in my life.

I play the NBA and use the two mods so all players and teams have real names and stats. I like how you can design your own plays for your team and use them in a game. PBM 2023 is an improvement from PBM 2022 so the game experience just gets better. Calling plays and subs on a fly gets smoother every year.

Pro Basketball Manager deserves to be more popular. Game is fun, huge database is a big plus. Developers always keep an eye on the feedback and take action immediately. This year definitely I am gonna spend more time in this game.

I play games like NBA 2k differently than most people. I like to make the roster moves, design the plays/systems, control the substitutions, manage the players, and handle all of the off the court things. I don't enjoy on the court player control. If you are anything like me, then Pro Basketball Manager is exactly the kind of game for you.
PBM is by no means perfect, but it is certainly the best basketball management simulation out there. There are a number of things games like 2k simply don't do right when it comes to the simulation style of play; they aren't designed to be that kind of game, so fair enough. I'll list the features and some of the most important pieces of the experience PBM has to offer in a Pro/Neutral/Con style of list.
PROS
-Incredible number of leagues and players available to play and choose from
-Player development is very deep and meaningful; you can control training intensity, area, positions developed, as well as track how those items are improving over time
-Scouting is very deep and detailed. There are tons of prospects, both from college and dozens of international leagues.
-Design plays; this is perhaps the coolest feature. You can design your own plays to use against a variety of defenses. In game, you can control which plays your players will use, and actually see the play run.
-Most of the info you would want as a coach and GM is available to you in the menus and tabs.
-The developers are really solid. They have an active discord and respond very quickly. It is a small but very dedicated group that takes feedback and does their best to implement it. Same with mods.
-Players have personality, can develop bonds, and will act in game as they see fit. It really does feel like trying to manage a bunch of super-inflated incredibly talented egos.
NEUTRAL
-Player ratings; some of the ratings for players are a bit wonky. This isn't a huge deal to me, as I like to play the game over long periods of time (decades). Eventually, you wind up with players no one knows. I approach it that way even with the players who are under/over rated in game. It isn't the same player. Still, purists may really not like that aspect.
-The ability to do games real time is great, but it is clearly an indie-level of quality in terms of production values.
-The stats and game play can be a bit inflated. There are many >50% three point shooters. Inside players will semi-regularly shoot three pointers, even if you explicitly tell them not to.
-You are able to customize the jerseys, arena, and many other things related to your team. I found the menus for this section to be VERY poorly laid out and confusing. Proceed with caution.
-Scouting is incredibly deep but can be a bit cumbersome.
-In game defensive options are easily changed, but I'd like to see more options at my disposal.
CONS
-There are a number of random quality of life type of things that are either missing or poorly developed. There are too many to list here, and it doesn't make the game unplayable; however, it definitely needs attention and can create a lesser experience. A few examples: missing animations in play design (like hand-offs), timeouts and substitutions in real-time games are not realistic and hard to use, there is no ability to actually talk with or interact with players (other than contracts), lack of info or tool tips for MANY things in game (like skills - what exactly is collective and what does it affect? etc.), and many others.
-The ability to develop game plans or customize team settings is VERY minimal or non-existent.
-You can't control (beyond a very minimal amount) the style of play you want your team to do. This is one of the things 2k does better; you can select from like 3 dozen offensive systems you want your team to run (triangle, motion, princeton, etc.). Here there are 0.
-I'd like more control over my staff; all of your coaches are assistants without any further designation (offensive specialist, player manager, defensive specialist, etc.).
-There are a fair number of bugs, from occasional crashes to players not playing possessions to random losses of money (I lost $60 million dollars randomly to start this season from my budget; lets see if I survive!).
Despite its flaws, the game is very engaging and high quality, especially when you consider the development team size and experience level, as well as the price. On sale it is only $15. It does what it aims to do very well, even if some of the edges are a bit rough.

Middle of the road for this game. Great idea and very similiar to Football manager. Just a few things that definitely need to be fixed. This game will be great after a few fixes down the line. Its a pretty good start, since basketball management games have sucked for awhile (IBM was horrible, Pro Day Sports is buggy as hell and makers dont care.)
Pros:
- A lot of leagues and alot of choices. Something I like about games like Football Manager. Gives us alot of choices for starting point.
- Interface is not bad
- Simming is pretty quick. Can play season in 30 minutes.
- Tactics are great, do wish there more options for offense and defense. Pretty simplified.
- Training is simple, not too complicated
Cons:
- Zero Continuity in Finances. Seems finances are kind of wonky. Playing in Luxembourg, made decent amount of money, so figured we would get some money next season. But it seems the finances and budget just resets and starting over. I decided to test giving a team wads of money, turns out that money just goes away. So give a team 200 million, wait until last day of season, it will just reset back to 1.9 mil budget.
- Should be some sort of explanation or tutorial about NBA drafting players from leagues. I just signed a player with no release cause who had a 4 year deal. 3 days later, I see that he was drafted by NBA and off to the team, seemingly just jumping to NBA and violating his contract he just signed.
- Game has some serious issues, glitches and bugs that definitely render game unplayable at times. Prime example was Italian league, which AI teams just stopped signing players, young players leaving junior teams and not generating new players. Maybe few were being generated, but doubt it. So Italian league had 6-9 teams that did not have enough players, so they forfeited games in Year 3 or 4. It got so bad, that every other game was a forfeit.
- Morale works very strange: One guy will complain about not being good enough and asking for a loan, after that he reset back to being normal. Never asked for a loan again even in next seasons.
- Speaking of loans..Not that I had to worry, AI doesnt offer loans to players. It would be nice to have a function like football manager where you can offer loans to teams.
- Players dont retire it seem. I noticed in editor it was deceased or retired function. But I saw a 47 year old dude on a team and few 43 year old free agents just lurking around.
- I signed a contract with Serie Legadue team and logged off. When I decided to play again, I was a free agent. It was nearly impossible to get another job. There has to be a notification when jobs open up. The player left blind to figure out what positions are open.
Few bright spots in this game, but damn before anyone spends their money, some things need to be fixed before I recommend to have anyone buying this game. Its a good start for a sports management game that has too many bad games.
