Great game, addictive and well rounded since its classic release, easier to get groups, more difficulty. I hope it takes off.

Very Good, needs more players. And a wiki for some explanation of the mechanics, but otherwise good game, please support! <3

It's pretty amazing. I wasn't sure what to think at first, it seems like a huge Grind. But, it's grind with a purpose. Everything is about choice and what you want to do. The worlds reset every hour. Everything you found? Gone. But now there's new stuff to find. It makes exploring interesting, but finding dungeons very hard. Fortunately that's where the other players come in.
I absolutely recommend it.

I have been following this game closely since the original game was released over a year ago. To put it simply its an amazing game.
Please note this is a one developer team but you wouldn't know that with the amazing support you get!
The core game play is unique and you will struggle to find it anywhere else with great repeatability.
This is a true open rpg where every action has consequences.
100% reccomend!
if Ape Egg releases another game just take my money now!
Hit me up in game - Kalladin :)

This is a great game that literally exposes everything wrong with the gaming industry! If you're not familiar with this game this whole game is developed by one guy and its absolutely amazing. Forewarning though if you're not familiar or a fan of Roguelike games you may or may not like this game since the combat animations are quite simple. Don't get me wrong the game looks great but it ain't no crysis 3 so don't judge the book by its cover. The true essence of this game lies in the endless possibilities, open worldness and the massive amount of customizations you can do towards your chars build. Also the items, stats and progression system make absolute sense and sad how one guy came up with such a balanced system that is very well polished. Plebs be warned this game is no roller coaster, from the very second you load into the world you're free to do whatever you want no tutorial included(there's tips that you can enable or disable but who's tryna read!) and the world is absolutely massive , if someone told me there's no end i'd believe them xD. But not only is there one super massive world there's several realms that correspond to the elements that are just as massive as the main world so be sure to pack plenty of trailmix. At the time of this review this game has been out for about a month now and i've seen this guy put out more content then plenty of games with huge dev teams and multi million dollar pubs... Games like this with independent devs just go to show that corporations have ruined the gaming industry and are more worried about monetizing everything about the game then actually making them fun. Meanwhile this guy makes a masterpiece solo dolo and only charges 9 dollars for everyone to play. If you're tired of shiny piece of shit triple A games then come give this game a try, I promise it won't break your bank and you'll be support a dude that actually knows how to make a fun game!
P.S. There's a bunch of champions you can play in game but if he adds a char creator later on that would be an amazing addition besides that I can't complain about much.

IGN: Neptune . this game is hands down amazing. progression is smooth and still has challenge. loot system is based off gear score and you have a storage to keep your items. you only lose whats equipped on death. for what i have played so far this game is just amazing. i suggest playing it for free in the browser then if you like it buy it on steam.

I dropped Lost Ark for this...
You probably wonder why I made this statement. Well World Seed has all the things you would probably enjoy in all those f2p/mobile "mmo" games. Character progression to infinity, builds, random (kinda) gear drops. Some exploration. Co-op dungeons/bosses. But it actually is free to play on the web version, and it does not gate you with stamina refreshes, pay to get more powerfull gear/characters etc. You can play as much as you want, whenever you want.
You start from the center of the map, get some gear drops to increase your item level. Then you go out to the higher level areas, get higher level gear, and repeat. It is grindy. You will not reach the crazy hundrends of thousands dmg/item-level fast. And I must admit it might get repetive. Not sure, I still have lots of fun on my fourth area. Combat is automatic, your character(s) trade blows with the enemie(s) untill someone retreates or dies. There are some elemental effects you can have on your gear, but it is simple. Better numbers result in victory. If you die you lose your character, and whatever he is wearing. And start with a new one of your choice again. It is not that bad, early game at least, because you can get some materials and craft the gear pretty fast again. Unlesss you had some mats laying arround in your bank (you probably have). There are no character levels, everything is about gear. There are coop dungeons for special loot also, but you will probably spent most of the time exploring and grinding gear.
This is all I have experienced so far, and allready loving the game. It will be my chill farming, rpg game. And it can be totally free if you want to, I chose to purchase it on steam to support the dev. Personally got tired of the time gating mechanics of the f2p model games, and their shenanigans to get me hooked. This game fits like a glove on that place of my steam library. And will gladly spent money on it again, as long as I play it.
Really looking forward to see where the development of World Seed will get it.

The game is for those who enjoy progress for progress' sake.
There is no goal. This is a 5/5 Netflix supplement or work aid.
You have low level gear, you kill monsters til you find higher level gear.
You dismantle that higher level gear to learn how to craft it.
You farm resources and go craft higher level gear.
Now you can kill higher level monsters.
Repeat for ever.
If you die, you make a new character and lose your equipment but keep your inventory.
You die a lot. Get used to crafting yourself new gear. Always dismantle your highest found level equipment.

I will preface this review by stating that this game is NOT SOMETHING EVERYONE WILL ENJOY!
I however fall in the category that does really enjoy this game and I'm glad I bought it on steam.
For a game that's still in early access and that only has one developer I have been happily surprised by what this game achieves. You're dropped into an infinitely expanding world that gets more dangerous the further from the center you go, which is done one step at a time. You choose a character from a tribe of which each tribe has to different characters that do basically the same, and set out on your journey.
The gameplay loop starts here. You move, enter an autobattle or get resources and move again. This is the game so far. The difficulty of the battle can be estimated beforehand, which is good. As a character that dies is permanently gone and you have to get a new one. I will state again, if this seems unenjoyable, think about buying this game. Or try it for free. There's a web version out there at the time I write this review.
All in all, I like the loop and the quest for ever better gear and the community is amazing in helping out with sharing information and just overall being very positive. I definitely recommend trying it out.
+ fun autobattler that goes at a pace you set yourself
+ different builds that are pretty distinct
+ amazingly fun community to interact with
+ pretty neat game for the price and amount of developers
- Characters could be more distinct within each tribe
- lots of balancing still to do at the time of writing (I trust this will be fixed)
- not for everyone, please look into this game before buying
