Fun, stylish game with a great sound track and clever writing. It has a lot of small easter eggs and great attention to detail - you can tell the dev really cares about the game. If you're interested in the genre at all, be sure to check this one out!

I was one of the game testers of the game, but I purchased the game myself once it released. The game does have an interesting story behind it so far. It has some entertaining parts throughout the game so far including a variety of different references. As of right now, I have not completed the game but it is something I enjoy coming back to play more. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the road map implemented!

Picked up this game without knowing anything about it and I really liked it. It's a classic point and click adventure game in a cyberpunk setting. Apparently the first Yoko Redux was a gamejam game, and this is the sequel/expansion? Something like that. I'm glad I got it, it was a fun world to explore.
Pros: Gorgeous aesthetic (so unique), good writing, varied puzzle difficulty (two really stumped me, the rest were workable), great music and VO.
Cons: Lots of walking back and forth (which is typical for an adventure game, so I wasn't too bothered by it), bad/frustrating pathing in a couple of places (getting on and off the subway was a whole thing), and I would have liked an option to turn off the scramble text effect.
I didn’t quite understand the story, possibly because I didn’t play the first one. It got kinda metaphysical at the end. But I got the gist of it, and it was a cool game. Took me about 4 hours to beat.
I did hit one game blocking bug, but restarting the level fixed it. The devs responded to me quickly about it and put in a bug report, so that was a nice/responsive experience. Overall I really enjoyed this game--guess I'd better go play the first!

While I do not typically play games in this genre, the music is worth the buy alone -- and the dialog is always witty, keeping me on the hook for more. The presentation and setting have me curious about what will be around every corner. I seriously think everyone should check it out!

Lovely game. Just a shame that the subtitles has to be scrambled before it rearranges itself into proper readable text. Not a fan of the feature and I wish that we could turn it off.

great aesthetic and worldbuilding for the cyperpunkish noir setting. as of now, it's just the first couple of chapters, but i'm looking forward to see how the setting develops between Locke and Yoko, and what the greater mystery of the world is between them and the others
and how not to make gumbo

First, I am one of the people who play tested this game, for many many hours, and I still decided to buy and play it.
This game is a point and click game. The storyline is good, the puzzles are logical if you actually listen to the dialogues. This game is all about the dialogues and exploring the world, it is not about finishing the game quickly.
What I really love is that the game is immersive, the atmosphere is amazing, in parts due to the artistic choice of using only few colors and having great music (I bought the set with the music). The voice acting is great, and there are some funny little things like nerdy jokes and things you can find that make the game a piece of art.
PROS
- amazing music
- good voice acting
- natural puzzles, everything makes sense
- very funny
- very artistic
- Due to the amount of play-testing and feedback from many people I can say that there are no bugs, which means some might still be there, but it is rather bug free, which is nice, especially for an indie game
CONS
- The game is somewhat short
- If you just want to play through quickly, you miss what the game is about. It would be a bit like playing monkey island with a complete solution guide and clicking on nothing and doing nothing but what you need to finish, so it isn't for everyone.
- The style of art isn't for everyone, look at the pictures

Though early in it's development, Yoko Redux has potential to be a really engaging point-and-click. The method of objective assignment is engaging, and there's not really a hand-hold that tells you exactly where to go or who to talk to; you have to figure that out on your own.
The art style, while difficult to read at times, is engaging in its execution and really helps the gameplay by identifying the interactable objects in the scene in a very clear, if sometimes *loud*, way.
The human voice acting could absolutely use some work, as the main character has a tendency to sound wooden and unengaged, while also not sounding like a digitized robot, which is the implication of the world.
I'm looking forward to the release of future episodes, for sure.

Great game !
It's impressive that it was mainly done by one developer.
Dialogs are funny, the world is captivating.
I think the strengh of this game is it's unique art style. The intros of each level are so good, and the OST is great, really worth buying it with the game.

I really wanted to like the game. But in the end I did not.
Pros:
* Has it's own visual style
* Nice cyberpunk setting
Cons:
* Very easy / very little to do (most of the time is spend with running around)
* Very short
* Stereotype characters
* Very clumsy controls. For example skipping dialog takes some time.
* Hard to tell where you can go
* Empty rooms and long ways that could have been cut down and do not add anything to the game (except wasting time when trying to get somewhere)
I would have liked that game a lot more in the past. But give that nowadays there are so many games (and shows and movies and books and...) one does not really have time for a mediocre game.
