I can see this becoming a fantastic addition to the first person hordekiller genre. Daimon Blades has a very similar gameplay feel to Vermintide, with added roguelite elements. The concept, the atmosphere, and the general vibe of this game are amazing. I'm a huge fan of EYE and seeing a new addition into the universe is amazing. I fully believe this game will become a hit.
Now for the bad part, the game is horribly unoptomized. I've been unable to make it through an entire Crusade without getting a UE5 crash error. My PC isn't bad by any means and I'm playing on low settings and there is still a lot of lag at times. Further, as is tradition with StreumOn games, there are some translation errors that make it hard to understand certain things sometimes.
Overall, this game is amazing. It's still Early Access as I write this, and I'm confident all of these issues will be resolved or improved upon prior to the full release. It's definitely worth getting, especially in Early Access if you're an EYE fan. The Secreta Secretorium cosmetic/weapon pack is really neat and it's a lotta fun to play with the cursed sword from EYE

Required the game to run as Admin just to get past the first loading screen.
Repeat crashes, despite verifying files and running as admin. Freezing during loading and consistent crashing upon trying to go to the third level. Game will also crash on launch until it decides to start properly. Can't ever finish a run due to bugs.
Refunding until major stability issues are resolved.

Game suffers from the procedural gen looking levels. Honestly the levels are so bad and once you've played a few hours you start to predict the layouts. Its really a shame because this game looks really f'n cool and its just a slapped together barebones effort of a game. The art is f'n amazing please just hire a level designer.

In my opinion, this game has the crunchiest and most satisfying melee combat on the market rigt now. It looks and feels insanely good. Got that part down for sure.
Gearing and leveling my char is the single most enjoyable aspect of StreumOn games for me. Not many games on the market give you that RPG-feeling in FPS games that also look cinematic and are mechanically good.
Therefore, I wish the game had some more meat on its bones when it comes to permanent upgrades for your character and also gave you the feeling of developing your char in a specific direction instead of chars ending up very samey. Give us some permanent powers we can unlock and upgrade besides the ones that go in the "per run" slots. Give us some decisions like do you want to shoot a strong single target lightning bolt or weaker one that arcs between enemies.
Also, the return of EYE armor system would be great, this game almost begs for it. Light armor with less protection and higher move speed etc. If you kept those things samey for MP balance reasons then I think that´s not necessary, or even a good idea, to be honest.
When it comes to itemisation, one talisman slot is not enough to keep things interesting. More slots and more interesting talisman effects would be great. Set me on fire and have my health tick down but everyone near me burns. Let my dash ram people away. Not just +2,97% crit.
Honestly, ideally, a game like this would have a Paper Doll inventory with multiple slots and item types. Rings, necklace, etc.
When it comes to the Daimons, I wish they would all have a different portraits. It can be small differences, not a unique portrait for each one, but stuff like color, background etc differences would do wonders. It lessens the sensation of finding a "new" one when it has a portrait you´ve already seen x times. I have no idea how many there are though.
Overall, I love StreumOn´s games, but I wish you would kick it up a notch. Go a bit crazy, add some actually new abilities, give us some more freedom, let us build a unique char...

purchased this because while janky, this studio had some interesting ideas. This game not so much. Its basically a much worse version of a melee horde game like vermintide/darktide. So if you have a desire for that type of gameplay play those games.

Good fun, and seems like the performance issues have been resolved (running smooth like butter on a 4060 laptop). Aesthetic is top notch, as is usual for streumon. Wish there was more variety in the runs (more obelisk buffs / alchemy powers / etc.).

great as hell, combat feels good, upgrades actualy changing how things works, there are some numbers that go up as well. Its great, movement fluid. deeper levels have more tough enemies, not by HP pool , but by the things they unleash up on you. Every weapon feels different and perform differently in dif. situation. ITs great , heavy, punchy, visuals and atmosphere out of the hell itself.

Just started playing and it is amazing!!! beautiful graphics! Game is extremely difficult and discouraging due to sheer amount of enemies. Gameplay loops can be overwhelming and repetitive. Overall nice game though. DEV SUGGESTIONS: 1. frame gen is not smooth and adds too much lag. I actually don't think it is working at all. I used lossless scaling frame gen and noticed a huge improvement in comparison. HUD is distracting and too bright. add transpareency, size, elements on off please!!!! The way the effect sound dips out only leaving music and fades in as you come back in from menu etc. isn't nice. it is weird and should be removed. I

So, first things first:
If you loved E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy, you will fall in love with this very quickly. All of that incredible warhammer-inspired yet unique aesthetic is here better than ever before, the autistic armored men waiting you on our hub to drop insane lines are all there and I love it.
This game plays like a roguelite Vermintide basically. You can upgrade yourself during the run, get new weapons, or get daemonic orbs(the currency to upgrade the Daimon Weapons) to upgrade them permanently. I can't say this combat is better than Vermintide or Darktide, but it's pretty good and functional. Weapons feel heavy and hit hard. You have a stamina bar that you can use to dash or do special ranged attacks, dashes have invulnerability frames, you know the drill.
I played like 5 hours but you can tell the game was designed to be played co-op. You have votes to choose the next map, votes for team buffs and things like that, but I played solo for 5 hours and it was pretty decent. Could defeat 3 bosses already on the lowest difficulty(which was not easy guys come on). But as you keep playing, leveling up stats and weapons, you are able to take on stronger enemies.
A special thumbs up from me are the bosses. At the start some might feel unfair, especially having to find the secret of some NECROMANCER, but these fights are awesome. They look great, and have cool mechanics that allow player skill to shine.
About performance honestly, no complains. I play a mix of high settings lowering shadows and lights and can get consistent 120+ FPS. When ♥♥♥♥ gets real busy frame rates can drop.
What I would like to see changed:
I would like to see my entire weapon while holding it, specially since you can craft awesome skins.
And that annoying bug where you get stuck in nothing get fixed, at happens kind of frequently even for me who played 5 hours. Also please fix the bug where it doesn't save the video configuration.
Edit: I played multiplayer with a friend for 2 hours and faced no connection issues or crashes.
Keep up the good work guys.

Deja Vu! This weird dream again. It's true that I sold my favourite Daimon weapon, yet I am not it's seller
This game is truly one of the games of Streumon studio. Not only that they brought their favourite auto-resurrector mechanic, but all the other jank their games are known for
Tldr; fun experience, cycles of grind and underdeveloped signs of what this game could be everywhere. This game is worth buying only if you really love the studio and what they do and if you want to support EYE2, since currently it's early access
I remember seeing a trailer for Daimon Blades leaked on youtube pretending to be EYE2, but found no trace of this game after, so just decided to forget until I saw a review by one youtube channel and decided to try it out
There's quite a few moments players could find confusing, but if you put at least 10% of your intelligence and about 5hrs of your time you could easily solve them, so I am kinda concerned with all the reviews pointing the progression out as something incomprehensible. Come on, not even close to EYE. You have: your iron, it's move-set, ranged attack, dash attack and quirks attached to them, your abilities and magic books. Last two are, essentialy, a meta-progression. It gets a lil more complicated during a run (the game is a roguelite), but that's it
Anyway, the gameplay loop is quite fun. While playing the game I have caught myself on a thought of a "wow, they learn how to make games with every single entry to their portfolio"
So, yeah, this game actually feels like a game made by developers and not the artists, StreumOn are. The combat is fun, yet, there are few enemy types yet
Balance
One of these games where you play the outbullshiting competition with the game and whoever become broken-er wins. The obvious dual-handed meta, bias, whatever you call it, since that you are fighting hordes of small demons most of the time. And dual-handed irons provide high damage, long reach and heavy-hitting charged attacks alonside with the OP dash attack which allows you to make 3 lights in a second while triggering the dash-affilated quirk of your daimon blade, while single-handed weapons only have questionable damage, low-reach and useless dash attack (I thought dashing already provides you with invincibility frames, what's with that shield charge forward?)
Daimon Weapons
Cool system, butchered by EA. Affinity points only influence ascension points build up rate (treat that as a stacking weapon perfomance buff, lost on your death)
I think you could make it go both sides so that it will make sense making your daimon hate you, so that would build up wraith faster, or high relationships with daimon causes them to awake to corruption more frequently. I dunno. Atm feels raw
The artstyle dude cooks, with graphics, while being good by itself, also being contributed to by sick artstyle and medieval knights being put to actual medieval instead of space
The animations, while, surely, getting better since Necromunda are still lacking. I wish the difficulty increased not only meta-streumonics health and damage pool, but also sped them up, since that with enough metaprogression it's not a big deal to complete S-rank runs with very little to no sense coming to any lower difficulties
The roguelite aspect is cool, I have nothing to say about it aside from it being a story-related mechanic
Story
Oh, streumon, my streumon... The story is presented in the best favor, by which I mean Dark Souls-ish listening to static schizos in the hub location and reading nonsensical text somewhere like in item descriptions. I like it. There's also set-ups for a main bad guy not actually being a bad guy, but we'll see where we come with that. No "you are 3 different people representing the good, the bad and the ugly part of your persona" tho
Music
Lacking. End of story
I play to this game while listening to heavy synth or some hardcore-deathcore-metal stuff and it's 10000% bettet than what we have in game. Like, Olivier "Max" Zuccaro wrote EYE for an E.Y.E sometime ago. Make him write more stuff like this track.
Also, I tried playing this game while listening to Collapsing by Demon Hunter and now I'm convinced the studio should do whatever it takes to make them a game soundtrack
I think that's it. I love Streumon for what they do and for what they are, a group of modding enthusiasts who have zero idea how to make mainstream games and who translate tabletop mechanics into a videogame literally. Everytime you play their game you feel navigating around the sea of jank, but hell is this fun. I only wish the devs best and since that I couldn't support them any further, I will now start sending my friends a copy of Daimon Blades unabomber style
