I've never been so immersed and entertained from a video game. The graphics and soundtracks are beautiful The animations are both epic and funny in the way they portray either new or existing characters. It has similar game play of old games I enjoyed like "Learn to Fly," but with much more depth and charm. 9.5/10.

Comfy collector. So much content packed into a small gameplay loop.

This game was easily 80 dollars of content so for the modest price its a steal. The art style is awesome the characters are great and the game play isn't overly complex. My biggest problem was how overwhelming it became because of how much there is to do? Get this game and if you get it on sale like i did report to the police for that steal you just made. This game is fantastic. Whether you're in it for the story or the gameplay, I'm sure you will enjoy it. Dave the Diver far exceeded my expectations; you should definitely put it on your to-do list.

Only thing that's annoying is that you can't save and exit during a dive. Maybe at first this makes sense, but later into the game you're potentially doing dives that are 30-40 minutes, maybe an hour. My play time reflects me having to leave the game paused in a tab to avoid losing progress rather than a massive amount of content. It does have a lot of content though. Belatro is in it. Like the whole game Belatro. And that's just a sidequest (an underwater one where you can't save & exit).

Yes, definitely play it. Its management, fun storytelling, satisfying & addictive gameplay, boss battles, collecting, mini-games, upgrading, exploration, relaxing & sometimes terrifying combat. Not to mention the stunning combination of 2D & 3D pixel art. Usually KBM but for Dave? Grab a controller, put your feet up and just chill...

Took a while for me to really get into it, but once I did, it was fantastic! Pro's: -Creativity -It doesn't really get stale, because there is something new around every corner (a new game mechanic, a new area, a new part of the story) -The humor -it's fun to upgrade your restaurant, as well as your equipment. There is a good feeling of progression. Because of that, things that are tricky at the start of the game, become much more doable, or even easy. And that's really great, because you feel that you've worked for it! -The characters! Though it wouldn't have hurt if it had been a little bit less of a sausage fest. There are some female characters, but the main cast are male. Still, they were fun, memorable, and fit well into the story. -The actual fishing! I loved coming across bigger, faster, stronger, more dangerous beasts of the sea, and besting them! It took a bit to really get the hang off, but once I did, it became so satisfying to dive every day and gather everything that I needed for the restaurant! Slowly unlocking and upgrading more dishes because I was able to catch different creatures. -Honestly, it just looks very nice! The colors are pleasant, the locations are pretty, the bosses are kinda cool, the character design is varied, I love that Dave is VERY much a plus size! He's just a lovable teddy bear. cons: -There are some game mechanics that could have been left out? Especially at the end there are things that you need to keep up with that become more like a chore than something fun. But in my opinion, it's not terrible. You have the time, and it doesn't take that long, but still. It is a bit much to do everything. -Dave in the water: Fantastic! Dave working in the restaurant.... incredibly slow. I know it's part of the game, but it is made worse when you have to pour drinks for customers.. Every time I had to pour a beer, or make a cocktail, I would dread it. And I had staff take over as quickly as I could. -Some parts can be a little confusing at first, but once you get it, or get the hang of it, it's fine. It's mostly that there is a lot, and it can become overwhelming. Would I recommend this game? -To anyone that wants a semi-cozy (semi-stressful) gaming experience. -If you like a roguelike, but would like a different take on it! -You like fishies but arn't afraid to brutally shoot a harpoon into them (it's just a game. It's harsh but it's also comical. No actual fishies are harmed in you shooting a bunch of pixels. But people can be sensitive to stuff like this, and that's okay! Just keep this in mind before you buy!) -You're ready to try something new! So yes, in general I think this is a fantastic game! But it might not be for everyone (no game is) You can always watch some game play so you know what is ahead of you. If what you see seems fun, Go for it!! If you are on the fence, I'd lean towards getting it anyway, because there is so much to this game, I'm sure there will be at least a few things that will positively surprise you if you are willing to put in the time!

Wonderful cute and fun game that has so much content to offer, great music, great visuals and art and tons of fun catching all the fish.
