This game is worse than I expected and my expectations were very, very low. You'll notice my ridiculously-short playtime; it's so short because the game is basically unplayable due to the issues listed below.
Pro:
+ Good music (slow jazz)
Con:
- Poor movement control
- Little to no in-air movement control
- Cannot control jump height
- Character is very "floaty" (as if low gravity)
- Character cannot jump up through a platform, but will clip down through a platform if the character is "close" to a ceiling while the platform is rising
- Very poor colliders resulting in game-over when the character is close to, but not touching, an obstacle (bullet, spike, etc) and resulting in the character clipping down through a platform when NOT close to touching a ceiling
- Very limited downward (below character) view, making it impossible to see where it is safe to jump
- No instructions, no mention of how to control character, etc (arrow keys and WASD+space both seem to work)
- No options (not even music on/off or volume)
- No ability to save (main menu selections are only "New Game" and "Quit" and game-over menu selections are only "Try Again", "Main Menu", and "Quit")
