I purchased this game with high hopes. I know its early access and I hope more is added to it. IDK what to think about it yet. It has potential to be an amazing game but as of now you just stand in the lunar module typing in numbers for 30 mins (Im not exaggerating) and once you finally finish that, you expect to continue on with a launch sequence or something but no. It just says mission success and ends.....WTF...I paid for that?!?!

First of all I love space, especially the Apollo missions, but the escape level, as realistic as it may be, is the most boring and tedious process I have ever experience. It's not even rewarding when you finish the level. I was hoping to control at least some of it, but at the end all you do is takeoff without any countdown or any control. This level alone makes me not want to recommend it to anyone. Get it on sale if you really want it.

I really want to enjoy this game I really do, however found this game on the edge of unplayable. Most of the time the game doesn't know where my hands are, and the simple squeeze and pull to open the menu tend to open the menu way to many time when I'm just trying to pick up an object, which works half the time. (Probably because it doesn't know where my hands are in the play space.) I've tried re-calibrating multiple times which in some cases made the tracking even worse. This game is going to need to go under a major update and overhaul of the tracking before it's playable. I was able to manage to get into the LEM without it's struggles as the door handle and door couple figure out what direction I was moving my hand, once I managed to get into the LEM I found that the crouch button was un-usable and had to crouch in my play space, which then made object to far into my floor to grab as the player model was still standing while I was practically on my floor trying to reach through my floor. Once it got time to connect the cables, just trying to move in the small crawl space I knew at that point that trying to manipulate those cables would have been a daunting task. All at the time fighting the menu screen when I try grabbing and pulling. I also noticed the graphics smearing and just doesn't look good. (This could be me but adjusted the headset and do believe it's the game and not the headset not adjusted correctly.) I got to say I'd stay far away from this game which is a shame because I love to see more VR space simulations. Just ones that are polished, enjoyable, and doesn't look like it was slapped together in a months time.

No matter how much I tried I just couldn’t get ‘Lunar Odyssey’ to function like a normal experience. In my first few playthroughs I ended up with tiny arms like a T-Rex (see gameplay video) and then I couldn’t get the batteries into the lunar lander! Maybe I was doing something wrong, or maybe it was glitched, I have no idea. What I do know for sure is there are far better Apollo Mission VR experiences out there and there simply isn’t enough content to justify the £7.19 asking price. It all felt overcomplicated when it should have been a simple interactive experience for us space nerds. - https://youtu.be/UJb0zFKNwyg

Played free roaming with the Vive Pro and a second time with the HP Reverb G2 and Vive wands. It looks great with both headsets, especially the interior of the Lunar Module. (It doesn't run with the WMR controllers). I do agree with both previous reviewers that the controls needs rework, it is quite jaggy, but I managed to crawl inside the LM and even getting out again. The environment remains me to the Apollo 17 landing site, but much smaller. There is no Lunar Rover but because of the smaller size you walk quick to the drop off, to the end where they have been with the rover. There you find a scaffolding from which you can demonstrate your golf talents. (So easy on the moon). I like the pitch black sky, the strong contrast shades which gives the same impression as on the NASA footage. But it is not all realism, the LM has landed sideways, so with the ladder half in the sun. And I'm in doubt of the location of earth, it is there, but perhaps too much towards the sun. I enjoyed looking around, but it is a short experience and the controls have to be way better to be fun.
