Fun TD game! Can't beat it for $3. Has good upgrade system. A few tower types. My biggest negative would be how loud the mini gun is (especially compared to the other towers). It becomes annoying, I don't even use it.

Excellent game for spending a bunch of hours in. It is mesmerizing in simplicity, however, the metaprogression adds much needed complexity. Barring a few mistakes in balancing, seems to have everything a tower defense game needs. With some bugfixes, it has the potential to go beyond being a good price/performance game. The rounds are slow paced and methodical, and there are many of them, plus a nice amount of replay value for a tower defense game thanks to the metaprogression system. Achievements are quite nice, too. Variety of enemies are surprisingly large, and there are a bunch of towers, though I wouldn't mind it if there were more of them. This game is worth more than it is sold for at the moment, and with regular updates I wouldn't mind buying it for around five bucks if not more. Especially if they add multiplayer, it could be a fun silly little game if it had some sort of multiplayer, either co-op. Then balance wouldn't be an issue either, would just be fun.

Okay, I had given this a negative review, but they made some updates, I gave it another try, and while it still isn't a great game, I did finish it, so I thought I should change my judgement. That said, still a bare bones tower defense game. Six towers, but I only ever used three, the laser (which slows units a little) the fire tower (persistent damage) and the rocket tower (range, and they are guided.) There was also a mini-gun and a rapid-gun, as well as a money making tower that, even when maxed out, didn't seem like it would ever pay for itself. There are now three tactical options too, slow, nova bomb and call in a plane that fires rockets. Even though I maxed these out, I seldom needed them. here is an odd mechanism with four different levels of tower, but the level you get is basically random. You can spend upgrade points to shift the odds of getting a higher level one, so there is that. Tower upgrades are a bland straight three levels with no branching, though I think at times it went up to four. No clue when and why. The best thing is the look, the units are really different and the whole thing appears to be three-D rendered, with shadows and everything. That said, the units are all very similar in play, slightly different toughness perhaps, or speed. Some fly, but they are still restricted tot he path and it seems to have no game play impact. They do try to create some variety in the maps, but they opted for making everything so big that the maps are required to be pretty short. As such, they are not very interesting, and tower placement seems very obvious. All in all it took me about eight hours to go from start to finish. Got this on a pretty good sale, and I think I got my money's worth.

When using more than two towers, the sound get messed up and gives you a brain tumor. -Unless you like to play this with no sound effects, it is unplayable.

Can't quite understand all the positive reviews for this game - maybe they have lots of friends. So far (17%) of the way in, I have found it to be very mediocre. It seems that the same 2 towers will easily beat every wave.

I am an avid tower defense player and fan and have completed most of well known games. I didn't like this one at all. It just doesn't have any character. It is very straightforward - a road on which vehicles are traveling, nor characters, and you are to shoot them using towers at specified points. A few upgrades are available for the towers. That seems to be about it. I lost interest after a relatively short time, not because I wasn't making progress, but because it was not fun. It is very cheap, so the risk of trying is low, but I think it will not resonate with most players.

This game is OK considering it is only a couple bucks but it's really not that great, I beat the game in less than 3 hours but I left it idling while I went out for dinner so my time says higher. It is easy to cheese the money and have infinite money and it is easy to use only one or two tower types and win. There are different damage types and different enemy types but they seem to mean basically nothing, I beat the entire game with no lives lost with pretty much only minigun towers. As far as I can tell every tower can hit flying enemies and I don't see significant differences in damage dealt depending on damage types. Upgrades also seem to do very little but cost a lot of money, it seems you get like 10% increase in damage for as much as almost 10x the cost of the base tower? Seems really off lol, they aren't really needed to win either even the last couple levels I was able to win barely having upgraded anything and with 40k of cash left even though I did not try and cheese the money. I also really do not understand the coloured towers, I have no idea what having a gold tower actually does other than allow you to sell the tower for more than you paid for it and cheese money.

The game lacks a certain amount of depth. It's an alright tower defense game, just not a lasting favorite... The other thing I hate about it is the amount of randomness... The color (power) of the tower is based completely on random.

Now I see why this is priced really low. This is totally boring. It is a tower defense game I guess. Some major problems with the game. You do not get a bonus to call waves early. There is no point to call early, but for a challenge. No real distinction between towers. No real advantages to each or weakness on vehicles. No real advancement on towers. This should be a free game on one of the survey platforms.

I am an avid player of the TD genre and this game is decent for the price, but it does have several huge issues, that really turned me away from it. - Severe balance issues. You can complete this by spamming one tower type. - Infinite money. When you upgrade tower cost and selling price in the skill tree, you can sell any tower for profit. I managed to bug out the money counter by maxing out my money before wave 10. This "feature" is even mentioned in game by the devs, which means they are aware of this and are encouraging players to do this...?! - No target priority options for towers - they all attack nearest enemy. - Lack of enemy information as you are playing. You cannot see HP, movement speed and armor values (only from the main menu encyclopedia. - No information about how the different colors (blue, green, red and gold) affect damage, range and attack speed of tower. - Very basic progression system. Put skill points in range, damage, attack speed and price reduction Key features mentioned by the developers on the Steam store page, that are downright lies or misleading: - An epic defensive battle (No) - Easy and fast gameplay (too easy, yes) - Replayability with different strategies (Sure, but why bother when you can just build the same single tower over and over again) - 6 different types of towers (Yes, but one is king and the rest are superfluous) - Different upgrade options for each tower (These are not upgrade paths in game to make different archetypes of towers. These are upgrades you put skill points in, in the skill tree before each mission - such as better range, attack damage etc.) - 4 planets with different characteristics (No idea what this means... Easy, medium and hard difficulty maybe?) At least the game is cheap... :-)
