Best of Kairosoft.
In my opinion, Dream House Days is the best game Kairosoft ever develop so far. If we taking a deep look in Kairosoft we can spot that and category each game by their style mechanic and art. The different is theme, such as Mega Mall Story and The Pyraplex, Cafeteria Nipponica and Ramen Sensei, Game Dev Story and Megazine Mogul, etc.
But there is nothing like Dream House Days, yes, the furniture decoration and combo can be found in many Kairosoft game, but this it is the first game that allow you to design room size. You can get creative and puzzling how to put each room inside the house, either the room should be L shape, U shape, or just a plain standard rectangle is up to you. Then you can specialize that room to be bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, or anything else is up to you.
This mechanic is never done before, most of the Kairosoft will just give you a fixed room size and it purpose. For example, here is 2x2 classroom for your school, do you want it to be 4x1 to fit that corridor? sorry, you can't. Oh you want a door graphic to be on the north side instead of south? sorry, you can't. Now, your school have a weird classroom that the door face the backyard instead of the corridor inside.
It is just for this mechanic of freedom, that make this game flexible to your style and visually look better. Oh boys, I hope they make another game with mechanic like this again.
