I was looking for a comfortable and satisfying game to play, and this definitely solved my problem! This is a cute game where you travel throughout the whole world cleaning the environment and restoring the buildings and trademarks in each area. You get to pet the animals, and the best part of this is there are cats in each level that each have their own hats you can find and place on them! There is not much of a storyline behind it, though it does give you a sense of accomplishment for cleaning every area completely. This game is designed initially for mouse and keyboard, but is compatible for controllers (which is what I use primarily), however, please be aware that when you open the menu, the game will recognize the placement of the mouse, and will make it difficult to make other choice if you are playing with a controller. The music was a little monotonous, so I wish there would have been music local to each area to spice it all up, but the music was at least chill enough that it didn't take away from the gameplay. Now, the achievements with the game were nicely balanced and ranged from easy to difficult. Of course, you have your story-related achievements, but you also have achievements you can get based on the animals you pet and the special easter eggs you find in the game which I thought was interesting. It definitely kept me on my toes as I played through the game. Overall, I think this game was wonderful to play and kept my attention wonderfully. Each level was just long enough to be comfortable and not overwhelming. Considering its price point, I definitely think that it is worth every penny it is sold for! Please do give this a try if you have a chance!

As cute as this game really is, it could have been better. The map doesn’t indicate your progress with each place, which is a massive pain in the butt. It makes it very complicated and a massive headache to accomplish certain achievements. I know achievements shouldn’t always be easy, but they should be fun. I have played this game repeatedly and yet I can’t finish the pet pal achievement or the perfectionist achievement. When I started doing research, I see that people upon till this day still struggles with it… Some get lucky and some don’t… I guess I am one of the unlucky ones. If they could just make the tracking a bit easier to see what still needed to be done, then I would say this game is perfect for a quick and easy fun game. I love the concept of the game; I just don’t love that they missed a couple of important pieces of information to make it more enjoyable. If you aren’t worried about achievements and you just want to play an easy game, then go ahead, otherwise, I advise to skip…

Wow! I really enjoyed the Fresh Start game. I'm a big fan of power wash and lawn mower Sims and this game really scratched that itch. also enjoyed being a part of making things new and all the animals. Highly recommended. I only wish there was more or a Fresh Start 2 game.

Very disappointed with the game. I love games like Power Wash Simulator and Crime Scene Cleaner. This game was recommended to me as a similar style game. Whilst the basic concept is the same I don't feel this game is a fleshed out as others. However in the game makers defence this was reflected in the price and I paid a lot less for this game then I did other similar games. For those who don't want to read through my full review the main reason I'm disappointed is the in game upgrade system is very badly designed and the upgrades make very little difference to the game play. Firstly the positives; - The game is very cute. The graphics are nice and seeing all the different animals is fun. Being able to pet all the animals is always a bonus. - Good amount of content in terms of game time for the cost. - I didn't notice any of the glitches some other reviews have mentioned - Fairly relaxing game, can play without really focusing and good to just chill out with However their are a few negatives; - The music is very repetitive. I ended up turning it off and listening to my own music whilst playing - No real variety in game play. Whilst the obstacles change on each level you only have one type of nozzle and just spray the same things over and over - The biggest let down for me, and the main reason I don't recommend this game is how disappointing the upgrade system is. When you start the game you have to spray each tree approximately three times for it to be fully cleared. I used XP to purchase the three upgrades to the nozzle but they made a negligible difference to how long it took to clean obstacles. The final stage of the nozzle upgrades is called Water Flash and is described as 'Instantly destroys mud and grows plants'. I thought this upgrade would make the game so much quicker. However the Water Flash upgrade actually unlocks a power up bar that you have to fill by destroying obstacles. It took me 82% of a level to fill this bar. When activated the Water Flash sent out one little blast of water that only cleared two trees and one mud pile immediately in front of me. - In addition to this the upgrades are split into three categories. It has taken me almost a full play through to unlock just one category. Whilst the game is cute I have no desire to replay it three times to unlock every ability. I really thought playing through the game and spending all my XP would buy useful upgrades that sped up gameplay so by unlocking the Water Flash ability I could then replay the game a lot quicker to unlock all the other upgrades.

It is a very cute game and it was fun to start, but eventually its just more of the same in each level. I was hoping for some sort of new mechanic as the game progressed but its just the same in each level. If you are looking for a game to just chill and do the same things in different locations then you would probably like it. Other issues I had with it: Iceland level is in Greenland on the world map. The upgrades do not feel worth it and you cannot get all of them in one play thru. For example the water sprayer has 3 upgrades but even after you get the 3rd one it doesnt feel all that much faster to water trees and plants.
