But seriously, 1. make a 2x2 foundation away from any npcs (no walls needed)
2. Get the iron spear and start killing zombies until you find a shotgun/revolver (if no guns spawn, making them is really easy)
3. keep 50 cooked meat for yourself for any given time, give companion only rotten flesh (there is no harm to her, and there is no consequence for starving her) and flowers (you can only get them from the zombies and they are rare).
4. If you can aim well, don't bother with armor. If you really want some, Wooden is best.
5. Farm zombies day or night until the flowers fill her intimacy bar
6. Enjoy the beach jpeg that doesnt even have the companion in it.

build menu was completely non-functional (for me)
I couldn't see any way to save (maybe if I was able to build and sleep?)
the "high maintenance girlfriend", which is the entire hook of the game *requires* you import a photo, it does not have a stock option
