A really fun puzzle game, takes some strategy too. The basic rule of the game is spelt out, but there are still some symbols and scoring system that i don't 100% understand yet. Basically takes a lot of trial and error to discover certain patterns. I like that there is a gold/silver/bronze/platinum medal, so far I have not figured out how to get the platinum score. Being able to save-game would be quite useful. Look forward to more developments in this game.

This game is surprisingly polished, well thoughtout game play, sound design and art style, for a single indie developer. Clearly a lot of love has gone into this puzzle/city building game. However there are two main things I LOVE about this game, the story and trying to get platinum on ever map! Normally I don't read much text in games but I'm glad i did in this one because its so clever and witty. I was laughing or chuckling at the end of every mission. I also love the min-maxing game play and trying to optimise every map and thinking about each building placement carefully. It's so rewarding when you finally get a platinum after trying a few times! Love the game and I would recommend it if you like puzzle style games.

It's too simple, strategies are figured out after a map or two and the completion of the game follows quickly after (yes, two and a half hours including the tutorial to finish the game). People talk about replay value, but check out the play time of the other reviewers. I think it would take a very special kind of player to play this more than once, and again and again is vanishingly unlikely. There's no depth. Now, the game was cheap, I'll grant, but not *quite* cheap enough to say much positive about it. It can't even be called a casual game, because you do have to figure out and use the strategies that gets you over the map requirements, and the UI/game rules presentation is a bit lacking.

Really a fantastic concept bravo! Addictive and challenging, I think you've built a really excellent game. I have only a couple minor suggestions - make money matter in the freeplay so that we can generate a leaderboard (it seems to just stay at 60$ at the moment), and perhaps add a survival element to your resources in the freeplay as well (houses perhaps require food or maybe there is to be a balance kept between the three resources in order to artificially generate a manner of challenge - in this way, perhaps add a standard game and a sandbox game (the sandbox having no limits, and the standard adding requirements). Just throwing a few ideas out there to make the freeplay a little more challenging, as right now it seems to not have as much of a purpose as it could. I could absolutely see the game becoming quite competetive if we were allowed to get a seed or something to generate the same starting board and then watch two players play at the same time to see who gets the most points (perhaps points for keeping a certain resource like services/population high or vice versa. OH! You could allow the placement of FORTRESSES like in campaign play, and then have each FORTRESS generate the resource requirements! THAT would add a really cool gameplay mechanic to keep this going. I really think you've invented something truly unique here and you could go very far with it. This game is genre defining - make it shine!

Got this game after watching ReneeSky's youtube video on it, great game with replay ability and a lot of different solutions for each level. The dialogue that changes depending on how you solved the level is also a great little easter egg! Simple game to start but gets more complex with time, how well will you do?

It's a nice little puzzle game, but the campaign is very short, and I wouldn't say it has high replayability. Pick it up when it's on 60-75% sale.

The very tags of the game "simulation" and "city builder" are quite improper. It is just a simple puzzle game with 9 levels in the campaign. The dialogues are disconnected from the puzzle mechanics of the game, hence, they are added just for show. So, the tag "choices matter" is quite stretched too. It's too primitive to be enjoyable.

Watched ReneeSky's Let's Play and bought the game 15 minutes into it. File Under Kingdom is a great little game that is easy to pick up, but offers a random element to every level to make things interesting. Not being able to move choices once made adds complexity where you think you have the solution worked out, go to move on to connect the last parts of the map.....and you blocked yourself in with an early choice. But restarting a level means a new layout of resources, and new map tiles available meaning a brand new set of challenges to play. The music is simple but relaxing, which is exactly what you want for a title like this, it wouldn't be out of place in a medieval themed "Lofi and Chill - Beats to Plan a Kingdom to"

This is a really fun and relaxing puzzle game that basically distills the stuff I love from simcity-style games into something I can easily complete in ten to fifteen minutes per map. While I enjoy seeing all the different story outcomes, I do have two minor criticisms (EDIT: One of these has been addressed!): 1) While the story has many opportunities to branch off, it is still fairly short. I've only completed one campaign run so far, but judging from the main menu UI, it looks like there's always only 10 or so missions before a run is finished. I'm not saying there isn't a lot of content here -- there definitely is -- but the story ended fairly abruptly for me when I was hoping to at least get a couple more hours out of my initial run. 2) This one's a much bigger problem, but still easily fixable (EDIT: This has been fixed!) -- unless I'm missing something, there's no way to see what the goals are to Platinum/Gold/Silver/Bronze a map until AFTER you've finished it. That makes trying to get the best possible score a lot more annoying since I don't know all of the parameters that I'm being judged by. If there's a way to easily get this information while I'm in the middle of a mission, I'd love to hear it. I just want to reiterate that this really is a great game, especially for the price point. If you're looking for a relaxing puzzle game to kill some time with every now and then, I can't think of a better recommendation.

Really fun puzzle game. Plenty of life in it with lots of different story outcomes whilst trying to perfect each map.
