Up front, my main complaint is: This is not what I would call a challenging VR puzzle game. It's much closer to an actual puzzle, which means that not finding where a piece fits can be frustrating, and finding the answer is not as rewarding as with typical VR puzzlers or escape rooms where you get the "Ah, I see it!" moment. There are some hickups: one time, I was missing a piece that probably got stuck somewhere, and then and another time, the "hint" function did not work at all, probably because the piece that had the hint on it wasn't visible to me...
But what I would call this is an amazing meditative experience. The music is very calm, and the visuals are literally jaw dropping, as in I had a dry mouth afterwards. The sound design of the piece rubbing on another, and the little character animations, and everything is just impressively beautiful. And for that alone, I can absolutely recommend this game.
One wish to the developers: After I built these awesome worlds, may I please, please fly around in them? I know adding locomotion to this game is some major effort. But the design of these worlds is what makes the game stand apart from others, and whenever I finished a puzzle, I really really wished I could go explore it some more. Particularly since the worlds can be revisited after completing them.

A very chill 3D puzzle thats really only doable in VR, forces you to think outside the box to match pieces but every map provides very subtle clues for putting them together

Played with the Vive Pro 2 and it was fantastic. No issues of any kind.
Like so many other reviews, I find it very relaxing and Beautiful.
I prefer to play without using hints for solving the Puzzles. It makes it that much more rewarding when you solve them.
I have learned from the creators that there will be more puzzles to add to the Shores of Loci. I give this a Super Nova of Puzzle Stars 🌟

Using Index and RTX 3090 I got solid 90 fps using res 400% - did use a 10-core i9 10900K cpu too, but gpu is the more important hardware in this game.
It's a simple 3D puzzle game - feels like having to get big pieces of a Lego set to fit. Graphics are great, and I consider this more of a game to reduce stress and to relax. Puzzle games like this are nothing new, there's really no originality to this game - apart from being in VR. I have to agree that it's much like the Tetris VR game - we've seen it all before, but graphics are great and it's still fun for a while.
Had some issues with pieces floating away or being hidden. One time did have to reset a level and lost all progress because a piece floated away and was impossible to get back. Then again, this is early access, some patience may be needed.
I'm not sure this game should cost more than $10-15, so it's probably priced just right now.
For being a simple 3D puzzle game with close to no originality I'd rate the game 6/10 - especially due to the beautiful graphics, and it's relaxing to play - just do not expect too much.

Loved this puzzle game! Graphics are amazing and 3d puzzle element was fun and entertaining. MORE MORE MORE LEVELS PLEASE!!!!!
Revision: Once the game went to full version it is buggy with pieces of the puzzle going underneath the floor and you have to blindly press the trigger in order to find them to finish. Until this gets fixed, I can no longer recommend this game, It's so frustrating!

The game starts well, but eventually the pieces you need disappear under the ground you stand on, and it's impossible to continue. I was able to get through level 1, but at level 2, I was unable to see or get the pieces I required to assemble the landscape. Poor design in preventing the needed puzzle pieces from being visible, or even available.

Can't even play the third level, the pieces keep going underground and you have to try and go fishing for them and get lucky. Sometimes when trying to put them together they go flying off to where you can't reach them; restarting the level made them completely disappear.

This reminds me a lot of what was going on back in 2016 with VR. There's a sense of epic, awe, and the magic only possible in a VR environment. Those pioneering demos like Irrational Exuberance, and early simple games like Water Bears really sold what was possible with VR. This game is exactly what you show to people that are trying it for the first time, everything here captures that magical feeling i first had 6 years ago.
One thing i'd like to point out that others haven't really delved in to, nothing here is stylised. Everything is super sharp and finely detailed, again harking back to the early days.
One or two issues. Like pointed out in another review, it's easy to overdo the grab when hauling in the pieces from any kind of distance. They do come back most of the time, there was a couple of times where i had to look around, perhaps an option to turn down the strength of the grabbing action. Another slight issue was probably more on me, playing seated and with the index controllers. I got the feeling the game would be more enjoyable standing up and walking around the build. Once it starts getting a bit big, rotating it with the grip controls on the index with a few standing pieces around you becomes a little cumbersome and cluttered.
I enjoyed this a lot, if for nothing else in reminding me how cool VR can be. Hopefully the game does well enough to see further environments and builds added.
Not hard for me to recommend, just like everybody else that took the time.

I recommended this game for the sheer artistry it able to offering me. And I'm always had a soft spot for something unique in such department (art).
But we are talking about video game here, So the presentation and being "artistry" alone doesn't cut, So how's the gameplay you may ask.
Well, Lets jogging back into your memories a bit, Remember first time you play something like Lego or Jigsaw, or perhaps building a sand castle or clay? Yeah, This game gave you that kind of moment back to you again. But this time in a VR and you can inspecting detail on each of piece of puzzle in a way that only VR could offering to you.
Shore of Loci is about you picking pieces of "puzzles" and figuring about which go where, Simple as that. The best part is when you are realizing that your "pieces of puzzle" are getting much bigger, much grander and more elegant as you are progressing through the game.
So this is where a little Con start to kicking in, The gameplay are just that, You are fix in one room scale position, Doing a 3d Jigsaw puzzle, Finishing one stage and transfer to next, Rinse and repeat.
So the best way to experiencing this game, is not to rush, you are to enjoy "things" each stage could offering you, The BGM, The beautiful scenary, The puzzle and most important "Time" that you are willing to spent and feeling like a little kid again.
And the price tag is in my opinion the best , Not too much, Not too little. The Dev could made an extra by releasing a DLC for the soundtrack alone too.

‘Shores of Loci’ is a 3D jigsaw puzzle of sorts in which you will be building little islands full of life and detail to the point that they look like little dioramas and then those little islands become real-sized ones once they are finished. It is well worth mentioning the level of detail that has gone into these puzzle islands as it really is incredible, like holding a small piece of land in your hands and feeling like a god as you build the islands back together. It’s slow-paced, relaxing and shouldn’t give most puzzle fans much hassle as there is a hint system in place once you hold don’t a piece for long enough.
While there are only 4 worlds it will take you a good hour or so to get through them all and by the looks of things there are more to come in the future. I would have liked it to have been a bit cheaper than the current £11.39 asking price, but I think the amount of effort that has gone into the models still makes it worth the purchase.
Check out my terrible first go at this here - https://youtu.be/L0d0WSoHyfI
