Ok so played since release and has it had issue, yes..yes it has BUT the developers have been quick to respond to questions/bugs/issues and that gets points, now I never played the demo so I don't know about issues before, but I am enjoying Pixelshire it is cute and personally relaxing(part from the bugs) and the first update has sorted some stuff out with more to come.
So yes I do recommend but please don't expect a polished game it should of been released as early access but hindsight is 20/20.
The negative reviews are valid, a part from the plain nasty ones theres no need, I think Pixelshire should be given a chance.

The game has a lot of promise, but due to issues behind the scenes I have no choice but to give this game a negative rating for now. Give Vasilis back control of their game.

For those who don't want to read a long review - the quick and dirty.
I had fun with out getting stressed out or bored
Yes there are some bugs on first release but the devs seem very involved in getting them fixed ASAP
Fishing is actually enjoyable
You do NOT have to talk to way to many villagers - every day - FOREVER
There are enough resources to hoard some and sell some
you can set up the village any way you want or not
This is a cozy game that is actually cozy. Don't get me wrong, I love cozy games but they all have a few things that I wish were different. The game just came out and has a few bugs (as most do) but the devs are actively reading the posts and asking for clarification so that they can fix the problems, not only for bugs but for peoples wants and wishes also. The tutorial is part of the game and not just one huge info dump all at once. The fishing is … I think this is the first game I actually like fishing in. Not so hard I hated it but challenging enough I was not bored. The number of villagers is a reasonable amount that you can talk to each day and still do other things. Each villager has quests that can vary in difficulty and variety (and rewards) that allow for different play styles. Most of the villagers have enough quests come up that you can pick and choose without feeling pressured that you will miss out on making friends with them or have to slog around talking to each villager every day forever. Resources are abundant enough that I can hoard (you never know what you need later game) and sell enough to not be perpetually broke in game for years.

Couldn’t even get past the introductory quests. I restarted the game 3 times and couldn’t get it to recognize quests being finished. Played on a steam deck

It feels bad to hurt a game that has a lot of love put into it, but it is so clearly not complete that I think it's a shame they released it. Some fun ideas, might be good eventually, but don't spend $20 to support the notion that releasing an unfinished and broken product (for purchase) is acceptable
