I love retro aesthetics and minimalism, but my first impression from the screenshots was… not positive. However, after playing the game, my opinion changed. The game itself is damn original and cool, and the style turned out to be a perfect fit. Realy good.

A phenomenally unique and terrifying horror experience. Even though the play time is on the short side of about an hour or so, the entire time is rich in tension and anticipation. Absolutely worth the full price!

Quite an enjoyable play. The horror aspect didn't hit me that hard though, I feel that some of the game systems could've been expanded upon to add depth to the game. But, Iron Lung is going for that very minimal approach, which coupled with its very 'minimal' playtime, makes it an enjoyable mystery to unravel. The standout for me was just figuring out how to navigate the sub, once I got the hang of it, it was fun plotting a course to each marker. Score: 7/10

Wait for a sale, it took me less than 3 hours to complete everything this game has to offer and get the 100% It's a really unique angle at horror and I enjoyed it, just wouldn't spent 8 dollars on it.

The hopeless atmosphere and fear of the unknown created a unique tension that I haven't felt from a game in a long time (if ever). Everything is satisfying to figure out while being intuitive enough to not need a guide. It's pretty cheap, and only takes about an hour and a half to beat. The game autosaves at certain points and you can continue from your last save point if you really need to leave. I think this game is definitely worth a purchase. Also there's a movie that's apparently been announced since 2023, so I'm excited to see that whenever it comes out.

Every time, I knew it was going to explode, and I still jumped when it did.

An hour long game where you put coordinates on a machine and then get a single jump scare before it ends. 2/5

My favorite type of horror game! Just reading what it was based about got me interested in searching more to find more on this game on other games like this. I've been learning a lot about the universe for a while now, but the lore behind Iron Lung had me creeped out and interested. Maybe if it's just that I'm getting old and probably just preferring slower paced games, or not, it was atmospheric and nicely done. I like anything that makes me think creeped out but intrigued. Like Silent Hill, the mood is sad and depressing. I wanna imagine what that would look like...an ocean of blood. I'd play it again for how immersive it feels with the sub noises and whatever is going on out there. Hell yeah. 5/5

Iron Lung is best experienced when you know absolutely nothing about it besides its gameplay and genre. It's not that long but it's very effective. The game builds fear and tension in a really unique way and progressively has you feeling all sorts of things. There's lore to learn and scares to be had even with its short length. At first I really did struggle with the gameplay, but when I learned how maps and navigation work, my brain finally dusted off the cobwebs and started going. At that point, I was FOCUSED. Full immersion from the music, sound design, and unique style. Iron Lung had tensions high and me pulled in all the way. A small game that's 100% worth experiencing. 10/10.

In rusted steel and crimson hue, A silent tomb beneath the blue, One task alone, to chart the red, Where stars are gone and gods are dead. The hull it groans, the pressure tight, No window grants the gift of sight, Just sonar pings and creeping dread, As whispers stir the liquid bed. A prison deep, a mission cursed, To dive where man was never first And in the dark, something unseen Waits in the depths, cold and obscene.
