Cute game by a cute wam~ ^_^ The game is very cute, looks like it's made by a 7 year old but it's not... she's actually 22 years old but looks 30. LOL
I think this is one of the best games out there, the only thing that might be better is the Google snake game =P

This game is delightful and difficult! Loved playing through it! There are a few glitches on Mac with achievements not ticking and the ending text not displaying but I loved it and it was well worth the effort!

It's hard to say whether I recommend people to play this game or not. At the price point it's honestly hard to beat, but ultimately I think I don't recommend it though unless you're desperately in the mood for a foddy-like game.
I've got a decent bit of experience with games in this category, to the point of speed running them for fun since I enjoy them so much.
My first time through Getting Over It took 2 hours on stream.
My first time through Jump King took me 6 hours on stream.
Pain took me 13 hours off stream where I could actually focus.
Mechanically the game is very sound, you pull in one direction and your ball flies opposite of that and sticks to walls that aren't ice. It's very simple mechanically and and easy to understand, plus the art style is great. The only mechanical part that's hard to grasp is the roll, which seems to be so precise and finicky that it feels like it's not worth doing half the time unless it's to recover from a fall to the start.
However there's something in Pain that's slightly rare for these styles of games, and that's the number of punishing falls that lead directly to more punishing falls in a row. The start and end sections of the game are actually very forgiving, you can make a fall and end up back near the start of the zone and the jumps to get back up aren't too bad.
The midsection of the game however is not so pleasant. Most sections in the middle have a fall that will drop you back to a zone start, where the jump to make it will immediately drop you back to the prior zone start. If it's not that it'll be a jump that sends you back to the start of the game.
There were countless times when going through the game that I would be like "Damn! I made it through that finally!" only to be met with a brand new mechanic that I didn't quite understand at a glance, fail the jump, and end back up two sections back on the very first attempt. It is 'very' punishing in the middle, but not in a fun way like Getting Over It or Jump King provide.
I wish I could review this game more positively and say I had fun with it like I do the majority of other games in this style, but in the end...
It's just Pain.

This game is incredible. I'm only at the second area right now but i love nearly everything about this game. The artstyle and music provide a nice atmosphere, going with each other perfectly. This game really shows a good way to make a game difficult but without putting in gimmicky falls and mechanics to make it more difficult. 10/10, 100% recommend

This game kinda feels like an old flash games, in all the best ways. It feels cozy and simple, but at the same time, it brings a unique atmosphere and challenge to it. Similar to what I've seen of jump king, it's a frustrating yet fair experience where you only improve as you go on. Definitely recommend playing it.

this game definitely stands out stylistically with a cuter look than other rage games of its caliber. controls are easy to pick up on and understand to the point that falls are more often than not a product of either experimentation or human error rather than the game not doing what the player wanted. mistakes can downright brutal at times, but its a fulfilling journey for anyone with the patience to endure it

Pain is a foddian game on the easier side of the scale.
The level design is great, not punishing on hard stuff but make mistake on easy jumps and you will fall. There's a decent amount of different mechanics added through the game.
The gameplay is simple, but with platform variant to make it more interesting. There are some collectible to find here and there although no achievement for them but that's fine.
Overall, the game length is short, but still worth it imo
