Faded Stories: Greenberg Reviews
Here in the city of Greenberg time is meaningless, and space is infinite. The city has endless history and yet... The whole place is fading away.

First off all- I encourage you to support the creator of the game and buy it.
From all the resent games, this one feels the closest to the first games Desert Fox made, the same games that made me fall in love with the world, the style and the feeling of the games. Its a bit creepy, and it tickles the right parts of my brain.
It's not a long game. I bought the game on itch.io, and it took me around a hour and a half to beat it ( I bought it here again to support the creator and to be able to write a review).
Overall I find it very charming and I enjoined the ideas of the small stories it contain.
If you liked the first games, please check this one too :D

Apart from how easy it is to get confused with certain puzzles and the fact that you can't save in the middle of a level, this game is really cool. You can play through 5 small weird and kind of creepy stories and discover bits and pieces of the world. Not everything makes sense, but it's not supposed to. This game does a good job of exploring the darker side of nonsense, especially in the Mumbling Crowd level (my favorite). Some of the levels' content changes depending on what choices you make, allowing you to unlock new areas and puzzles. Graphics are simple but not poorly done. I'm surprised more people haven't played it.
Faded Stories: Greenberg
One of many amazing point & click, puzzle, surreal adventure games by Desert Fox.
This was my very first introduction to this developer's games. I am very glad I stumbled upon this series of games.
This one in particular made me want to explore more since it was so story rich, but it was mostly environmental story telling.
To my surprise, once I had "finished" the game, I found out it had multiple endings. This could be a spoiler so I will mark this next part as such.
During my second playthrough, in the first story, I noticed that my initial run affected some things in the environment. Also, when solving one of the puzzles, I thought "what if I did this instead?" Although, I didn't at that time I tried this time around. These differences gave me another way to end the story.
I was thrilled.
More story plus more puzzles equals more game play time and more content.
I did get most of the games Desert Fox has released on sale, but they definitely are accurately priced. The overall game has enough good quality content to support the price the developer chose for it.
Support the developer and their great puzzle-point & click-story rich games.

Another spectacular series from the entry, giving another puzzling point and click scenarios in the bundle which also ties few ends towards the story altogether. It's a bit repetitive if you're looking to hunt for the achievements but also very short. Still even if niche it still serves its purpose being fun and interactive to play.

It's a nice little game, I enjoyed my time, just like with any other Desert Fox Game . A fair price for a small indie developer. The concepts are realling interesting. You have to see this game as an investment, it may be short or less complex than the previous games of Desert Fox, but with the financial and moral support you enable them to make even better games and expand this universe.
Also a heads up, they are working on a another Faded Stories Game right now and the screenshots look fantastic and exciting.

Personally, i think that Desert Fox is one of the greatest indie/point&click game designers. The way he draws, the story telling, clever puzzles etc. i just love it. Their theme, their story, their environment basically everything about his games reminds me of my childhood and i would like to see more content like this.
I'm sorry to hear that he is strugling with financial things because of coma and fever (which were the best games of Desert Fox). I hope he recovers and makes more games like them (i'll try to support him as much as i can). I'm currently waiting for the ''Bad Dream: Purgatory''. Keep up the good work man.

Usually I like games from this serie, but unfortunately this is not one of those cases. This game is s-so minimalistic that I can barely see any actual work here. BD: Coma established certain standards and thus - reasonable expectations. But Greenberg doesn't even fit the level of BD: Stories.
Probably only 2 first episodes deserve some attention. Some. The rest of them is so primitive, that certain locations contain 3 dots, 2 lines and that's it. With very vague plot and almost nothing to do.
I liked to come back to such games to find local secrets and unlock different endings and achievements. It was rather thrilling activity on it's own. But this time I do not feel myself invested enough even to come back just to finish the job. Very disappointing.

Classic Desert Fox Bad Dreams style point and click with the usual subversion of expectations that gives each of the stories a unique experience. I don't want to say more than that because I feel this is a game to be experienced. Also there's more to this game than you might realize on a first play through, so I encourage anyone to experiment.

Yes! Thank you Desert Fox. Support the Developer and buy multiple copies and gift to friends. Great stuff, more brain expanding adventures from a very creative mind.
Edit: Now that I have completed this game there are two things I would like you guys to know. First there were absolutely no computer glitches. The game is produced by a professional and it shows. Second, the gameplay itself is flawless. As he described in another game*, you will never get stuck. Every path has been planned with an outcome. So pick up that stick, use the coin in the well, or not. Either way you will come to some conclusion.
Thinking outside of the box will yield you those extra quirky achievements and there is a method to them although you may not notice it at first. But that is the fun of puzzling that Desert Fox brings to us.
*Darkness under my bed
I hope he has the inclination to make games for many more years.

I like the developer's other games, but this one didn't really do much for me. The individual stories aren't that interesting and while it has a few nice ideas for puzzle variety, it was too easy to get stuck. Didn't finish two of the stories because I couldn't find anything else to do and didn't care enough to check a guide. I'd say skip this [edit: or better don't skip it, see below], it's kind of like a tech demo for his better work anyways.
Edit @Desert Fox:
Sorry to hear that and I appreciate you adressing this so frankly. I cannot mention or even consider things I don't know, though. Be aware that not everyone follows you on social media or social media in general. You and your games have a very good reputation, so I did not imagine your studio to be struggling. Let me clarify one thing as well. I was not being cruel. This is a review of this particular game, which I was giving my honest opinion on. I can understand that it must hurt to read "skip this" when you are struggling and rely on the income. But a review is about the game, nothing else.
My suggestion to skip the game was based on whether I think it's worth playing, not worth paying. (Which isn't a nice thing to say, either, but it seems all the other reviews are positive, which means an overwhelmingly positive feedback overall.)
I think buying this game is worth the money to support you. So I take back the suggestion to skip this and encourage everyone to check out and buy your other games, too. But my opinion on the game itself stands and I don't expect you would appreciate a positive review out of pity or sympathy.
