I landed on an aircraft carrier and accidentally dropped napalm on my platoon. They got offended and started shooting at me. 10/10 Vietnam experience.

I started off doing a bad thing and borrowing this game because I was skeptical from a review I read. I was immediately addicted and bought the game and if you're unsure and reading this - BUY THIS GAME - The creator is heavily invested in this game and it's absolute FUN as well as being very in depth. After a tour you can go home at will and then just like go back to 'Nam when you want and set more people on fire on the ho chi mihn trail. The map is MASSIVE and gameplay is super fun and super open world! Buy the game.

Dev, I dont know if you can hear this. But this is my favorite game of 2025. It's a beautiful creation. It's absurd. it' funny. It's insane. It feel's like Catch-22 is firmly holding hands with Apocalypse now. I am firmly dedicated to the prospect of making content for this game, for I must share its madness with others. I feel you've made something good here. Please keep doing it.

There is a ridiculous amount of content that is relatively in depth and fleshed out. The game suffers from some jank but if you can get past it you will discover a truly unique game with insane ambition. The store page does not do the game justice- it really goes so much deeper than you think. What i thought was gonna be a messy, silly vietnam war ravenfield is still shocking me every time I boot it up with something I hadn't tried or discovered yet, review written at 22 hours. Go out and support this dev, it's a 1 man job and he's grinding it tf out with constant updates

>join spec ops >get a crew of ten dudes together >get a mission to infiltrate into Cambodia and destroy VC base >fuck that >proceed to venture towards the nearest village, and tell my soldiers to gun every last person living there down >call in a b52 airstrike that levels the local orphanage, no ones gonna miss em anyways (pro tip: if they run, they're VC, if they stand still they're well disciplined VC) >die by stepping on a fucking spider 10/10 greatest war crime simulator ever made

I love sandbox games so it's not a big surprise that I also love the idea and concept of this. However, in the current state I don't see myself actively playing it, simply due to how janky and laggy it is. I love all the small details in this game and the fact that it tries to be more than just another ravenfield-like sandbox shooter, but I recommend sitting it out for now until the game is more polished.

I was a big fan of the Arma 3 DLC "SOG Prairie Fire" but it was hard for me to get a consistent game going with the server populations waning over time. This game is like a single player version of SOGPF "Mike Force" game mode but it is also so much more. It's up to you and your squad to take on a huge sprawling jungle map with a wide variety of missions, enemies, vehicles, buildings, civilians, and animals. Along the way you will interact with a wide variety of odd and unique mechanics like building trust with the local population, praying at a church for good luck, smoking “special cigarettes” and lockpicking doors to find supplies. There’s a whole base building/construction aspect of the game I haven’t even gotten into yet. Apparently if you complete a tour as a US soldier you can fly back to America and buy houses with your hard earned salary. All represented with a unique low poly art style. The downside is that its a 1 man development team who appears to be punching way above his weight. The movement is borked. The AI is bad with enemies being a mix of stupid and aim botty. Your squad consists of ADHD golden retriever brained men who immediately charge the enemy and usually end up all dying in the process. You can command them to duck and stay still, which works pretty well if they care to follow your orders. If you get separated from the squad or a few of them got stuck running into a wall 3 villages ago, good luck regrouping. You can expect every starting base to be the target of artillery shells and fire bombs right off the bat. Who knows what mechanics work as intended (or even at all). There is no manual or training level so you will have to crawl through forums and discords to learn how to play. Personally i love ambitious yet imperfect indie projects like these (Brigand: Oaxaca anybody?), but the game might not be for you if you can't stomach major bugs and jank.

Bought the game after watching a few videos. >Booted up game, met with SO many amazing options to play, stuff that seems to have major differences. >Met with a skill system, food and water system a squad system and one of the biggest maps ive seen. >Not expecting a triple A game but none the less enjoy gunplay and interactions >Deploy to my first mission get ambushed by VC >Get smoked and get told "Your team saved your life" >Fly 150 feet in the air, smoking VC on my way down expecting to die when I hit the ground >Dont die just keep smoking VC until mission complete All and all this game is complete charm. For 15 bucks if the dev stopped working on it tomorrow he's fulfilled any obligation its amazing. Best Graphics and gun play and systems? Nah but its a blast and its accessible. If you run lower end hardware just keep your team and enemies low but this game is a blast. I dont do many reviews but this game was such a blast I had to share this. Theres a level to this game thats unheard of and it all works but doesnt work at the same time lol and that makes for some serious charm.

Yes there is a good amount of bugs/jank, but the amount of depth and fun to be had significantly outweighs it. If you want a milsim with a MASSIVE map(s) that has bases being fought over and taken in realtime constantly, new ones being built even (you can also build them) then this game will scratch that itch a LOT. There's not much in the way of tutorials/documentation. But in steam guides or the discord you can find a lot of info, or just learn as you go. A lot of gun and vehicle variety, call in napalm strikes on VC while your character calls them atheist commie bastards, eat rations while your character complains about it. Turn on terrain craters and turn the enemy bases into swimming pools, do operations that are based on historic ones that actually happened, talk to villagers to get info on enemy bases or buy stuff from some of them (including burgers, which increases your patriotism skill, and yes there's a skill system) The solo dev is super active in steam discussions, Discord, and I've even seen him in the comments on YouTube videos of his game. He clearly has a ton of passion for it and has been updating the shit out of this game and takes a lot of feedback from players. I don't usually write reviews, but this game FUCKS. Even on a low end PC, I have a GTX 1050 and I'm able to play well. You're able to adjust the amount of US and VC units (you can increase the amount past the default too if you have a good PC). PLAY IT
