Dont buy through steam shop you dont receive her and it's a scam. (Yes, I verified files, restarted game several times, and restarted my pc several times, and my game already runs in admin mode.)

This hero is terrible for the game. Ubisoft needed money so they added a hero who can do everything better than everyone else. She is OP and unfun to play against. Ubisoft really need to get it together, heros like this are unacceptable.
Further, how is this pirate hero a good hero from a design perspective. None of her moves fit her theme, and her asthetics are awful. Ugly hero with terrible design.

Honestly, a good hero, with nice pressures and combos and finisher mixups. But not too unique. Very beginner friendly as well as one can make mistakes with the character and still live, ie: heavy finishers have hyper armor properties.
My gripes with this character is how unappealing she looks. She doesn't look feminine at all. She looks unnaturally masculine with an unnatural body type. Her voice sounds unnatural as well, like they forced the Cantonese VA to sound like that. A better looking female hero is Virtuosa as she still has that look of a warrior but you know she's female looking with proper proportions and has an appealing look to her (though slightly bit annoying to look at or hear at times). I never pick Pirate's original look. I just go for Captain Coalheart because he fits the Pirate theme better and he looks... like what a normal guy would look like in his 50s.

The hero I most hate in the game. Unfun to fight, unfun to play, uninteresting design both in the visuals and the gameplay. What a waste of the concept of a pirate.

i ended up spending the 8 dollars for the pack and did not get pirate. it says its in my library but i checked and it wasnt there then i click on it and it says purchase instead of install

Pirate was overtuned on her release, and sort of without an identity. I still to this day do not know what she was intended to be, as nothing really makes her unique besides her guaranteed gunshot. A mechanic where she could use the gunshot a little differently would've been nice, but nothing like having to reload mid combat, since I don't think it makes too much sense in a game like For Honor.
She does bring a unique mechanic where she can use her feats whenever she could get a guaranteed gunshot, which I absolutely love and is the only reason I play as much Pirate as I do. But also on the topic of her name being Pirate, I would have loved if they named her something in Cantonese, since it's the language she speaks.
Her overall theme is nice and makes sense as the Chinese did bring gunpowder to the world. Obviously it would have been nice to at leave have a male version of the Pirate, or even a more Caribbean feeling Pirate, but this works for me.
Unfortunately her fashion is a little limiting and I don't enjoy it too much, and I hope she ends up getting completely new armor sets that more match that Pirate theme.
