I was really excited for this game. I enjoy most ghost hunting games, but this one was a big disappointment for me.
1) I did not find the game scary whatsoever. Unless you have a really low scare threshold, neither will you.
2) Evidence collecting is a joke. Just walk around the the Memento Finder. Find 4-5 of them. Congratulations, you figured out the ghost. None of the other pieces of evidence is necessary at the time of this review, not even finding the ghost locations.
3) Looping the ghost is simple so death is only by getting trapped in a room without a loop or fumbling the loop.
I love horror and I love investigating, but this is not it. Not yet. I'll check back maybe in a few months to see if there's been any progress, but at this time this game is too easy, not scary, and not fun. The other ghost hunting games out currently do more for the same price or cheaper. Wait for updates or wait for a sale.

the game has recieved significant updates and is functional properly, i reccomend giving it a go now
Old review:
FOR THE RECORD: This is a not a positive, this is because i feel the game warrants a neutral, not a negative and i feel that giving a negative is harsh for what this title deserves.
TLDR: Not quite baked yet, put it back in the oven for a hour longer.
The premise seems great, ID the killer before they kill you, but even for an EA this is pretty poor implementation so far, took 4 attempts to get into a solo game that loaded me into a black void
Then tried multiplayer and my co-partner was loaded into said void 3 times, then he loaded in and i did, but i couldnt see the killer, even when it was right in front of me
a fair few graphical issues
I will not say DO NOT GET THIS
What i would say is, Get it if you like the idea, but be prepared to wait, nothing comes overnight, this game has great potential, but it just isn't there yet.

I think the game has some charm to it. It's another coop investigation which isn't a bad thing. I enjoyed it for the most part, but I do think there needs to be some changes.
My suggestions are:
1: An audio setting, had to lower the volume manually on my computer.
2: The timers take the thrill and anxiety out because you know exactly how the thing will react during a time. I'd keep it hidden or at least have that be an option.
3. Requiring you to know the entity type before the banishment item works as I was able to just putz around, banish the thing then figure it out.
4. Kiting the guy is a bit easy unless you dead end yourself. Also he fixates on a person knowing exactly where you are hiding.
5. Mementos are a bit over powered, as you can just find them and it sort of negates the evidence required.
6. All the entities reacted the same, maybe some variation on how often they appear and patterns?
Over all I think it's decent game and definitely different enough to stand on it's own. Just think with a bit more improvements it will be a stellar title.
PS: I have been drinking while writing this.
The few times I did die was Shorne_t's fault

The game is enjoyable. The whole concept of all the items is unique and the models are actually pretty nice. Being able to find out the type of killer through the mementos is cool as well. The looping is nice as well while the murderer is chasing you. Being able to play by yourself or with others is fun too. Gives off a phasmo vibe. But it is still a decent game! Give it a try. Wall eyes look spooky

I love love loooove this game. It is very Phasmo, Ghost Exorcism Inc and Ghost Exile-like but the "Finding the Killer" aspect gives it a great bit of difference especially with the phases that force you to move fast! I am so excited to see where this game goes!
I will admit it is a little buggy, especially in multiplayer mode. But little things such as syncing where the killer is and such, from my experience.

At it's current state, I can not recommend this game,
which is a shame as there is potential, especially with the lore.
The game hasn't been updated since June, their twitter has been silent since May,
which makes it look like the devs have vanished and left the game on here to collect dust.

This game is great.
The good:
The game's playthrough is discovering what type of killer you have before a murder takes place.
Very fun and spooks are great, I love the idea of a twist from the usual ghost hunting type style to killer. The detail on the killers is good and they scared me quite a few times.
The intro music as well as the music in the game is fun and scary. Lobby is nicely set up and designed to where it's easy to navigate. The tools you use can be slightly confusing, so I would highly rec doing the tutorial before you jump into a game. Each case is split into different phases and it's important to understand how these work in order to be able to solve the case. The houses and locations of each case change frequently, and they're nicely done. It's exciting and fun trying to solve the case, especially when you're playing multiplayer. Game has a tutorial, easy, medium and hard difficulties.
The cons: The phases can be a big adjustment if you're used to playing games similar style. In the beginning you can only use a couple of the tools to help get a head start prior to mr. killer arriving. I find that when you load into the game, the arrival clock is already instantly ticking away. It would be better if the clock didn't start until you went into the house as some take longer to load into the game then others. I dislike the feeling i'm starting to investigate before someone else or vice versa. I also feel as if the easy mode clocks are a bit short, especially if you're brand new to playing, however after a few games it does start to feel better. I find the short time frames make it difficult to get a good layout of the larger maps, the houses are ok, but it's still a rush. There are some known issues with multiplayer, I experienced one where it would not connect us back to the existing lobby so we had to exit the game and create a new lobby. This can be troubling especially if you're streaming... but it isn't a deal breaker for me as the game is a lot of fun still. There are med kits in the game in case you get stabbed, however every time a friend or myself has been stabbed it's resulted in death, but I'm still learning the game so I hope to get the hang of this.
Overall: I would recommend this game to anyone who likes the discovery of killer/ghost type games or wants a game where you can have short games that are spooky. It's not difficult to learn once you complete the tutorial, but requires playing a few times to get the hang of it. It's a great game to play solo or with others, hopefully the multi player issues get resolved soon, but i'm sure they will. For the price, it's a great deal! It was very quickly loved by myself as well as others I play with.

Have only played for an hour so far and already loving it. Many are assuming its another version of Phas but its very different. Only thing in common is you're identifying something in a map.

honest review: Thus far the game is very very early alpha feeling and not fleshed out, the timers currently are to fast and can be overwhelming and very unclear to new players, the tutorial is very basic and gives no real form of teaching or guidance. As for actual gameplay the game is very lackluster especially after all the hype. i went in giving it a fair shake and after an hour+ of playing i just found my self confused and bored. the lore memento device is the only item you needed to find the killer and the devs response was instead of looking into why the item was the only thing needed they instead nerf it trying to force people to use other items instead of fixing the flaw in their design. It has potential to be an amazing game and while im puting a no recommendation right now i will gladly change it when some more QoL is added, but in it's current form i do not think it's worth the 15$ at best 10$ i would wait til the game receives more updates before purchasing. I have faith the devs will fix the issues, but for now i do not recommend buying this game.
