Wicked fun. The mechanics of the game are rewarding to get the hang of. Great style with excellent VFX and level design. Excited for more.

Feels like a combination of Ghostrunner, SUPERHOT, and Hotline Miami. Levels can be brute forced, or meticulously planned. Good fun.

It's a very challenging game, but in a fun way. One of those that you see yourself get better overtime. The level design is very creative and the mechanics as well. Plus, I really like the visual design, the color scheme and animations are nice!
I'm looking forward to the progress!

Hyperblade is really good!!!
The mouse only controls feel tight to play, it's fast paced, and it's a ton of fun. The satisfaction of each kill and impressive sequence is enormous. I had a couple of frustrations, with the time-dilation feeling a little to slow to get into. I wished that with the frenetic nature of the game and the game relying on your instant reactions, that getting fully into slo-mo and out was faster. I also had trouble with targeting specific bullets when I was swarmed by them. I suppose the point of this is to never put yourself in a situation to be swarmed, but I wish there was a way to target bullets most likely to hit you, like the target-lock rockets and bullets heading straight to you. Other than these minor problems, the controls were flawless. The animations and feel of the game is amazing, the I look very forward to the future of this game.
The difficulty is quite hard, but the way it drops you back into the action makes it fun and inviting. Thinking through the tougher levels is a treat.
Things I'd Want To See:
- I agree with some other reviews about how the contrast could be a bit different. Perhaps slightly brighter backgrounds and brighter enemy models would make things easier to see.
- I think the soundtrack and some of the SFX in menus feel a bit muddled/muffled, but the bullet deflecting and kill sounds are perfect.
- I think any sort of replay system would be really satisfying! I think watching back my sequences in real time would feel amazing and bring hype and the feel to this game to another level.
- If you ever get around to adding a menu for Enemies Seen, that would be cool to look through and get a better understanding of the enemy (especially some of the more complicated foes later on).
Banger Early Access!!! Recommended to my friends.

This game looked promising with it's Hotline Miami x Ghostrunner style but after beating it in mere hours (non-Steam copy) the myriad of problems left a bad taste in my mouth.
Starting with issue number 1: This game is abandoned. Last "update" was January 26, 2023 which was just an announcement stating that the game was entering Early Access. Nothing happened to this game since then so despite the Early Access tag just consider this the full and final release. If you "got the game elsewhere" (wink wink) don't bother getting it on Steam like I did because there aren't even any achievements or trading cards.
Issue number 2: It's really short. Let's just say the price matches the playtime.
Issue number 3: It may look like some kind of Cyber-Hotline Miami but lacks the story that Hotline Miami had. There is some environmental storytelling but that's really it.
Issue number 4: It's basically top-down Ghostrunner Lite without the wallruns, platforming, scenery, upgrades and dialogue (or any story for that matter). Walk up to enemy to slice or enter a slo-mo to deflect enemy bullets. Unlike Ghostrunner you're gonna deflect 99% of bullets because there's just no benefit in walking up to an enemy for that katana action.
Issue number 5: The Steam reviews are useless considering most of them were posted in the week/month of the game's release with future updates in mind. The playtime of those reviews should tell you a lot about the game too.
Issue number 6: The music and sound effects are just.... too generic. Turn down the game audio and put on some synthwave of your own.
All in all pretty good for a solo developer and I really would've given it a positive review if it weren't for the fact that the developer completely abandoned it without mentioning anywhere on the store page and the reviews are so outdated that you don't learn anything from those either.
By the way, during Steam Spring Sale 2024 I bought it for a whopping 88 cents. Don't pay full price, this developer is clearly not worth it

This game, has the potential to become an extremely addictive and extremely fun piece of art, the graphics are unique and the feel of the game is fast paced and action packed, this game is made for those with quick reflexes as you us a mixture of dashing a bullet time to dodge a plethora of bullets, lasers and explosives, as well as to carve through the horde of enemies in your path.
Although it is still in its early stages i cannot wait to see what gem this game will turn into when given enough time. I cant recommend this game enough and feel like it deserves a place in anyone's indie game library, truly a hidden gem among the rough.

A really fun game that I recommend,
This game have a lot of potential.
It's mainly an easy to take hard to master game with a slight encouragement to speedrunning.
There is some tuning to do with the difficulties curve but it's totally understandable for the first week of the early access.

A neat idea but the control scheme kills it for me. You can't control your character directly, you sort of point them in a direction and they run that way. It makes traversing the levels awkward and I feel like I'm struggling more to just tell my character to go in a direction than engage the enemies. If this was something like slow mo focused hotline Miami I'd be all for it but this feels like....I dunno. Murder focused mini-golf where your ball is a ninja and you're knocking it around the room to kill generic soldiers? Its weird and Its not my thing.
