Warning: Asset Flip!

Fish Story: Gourmet Puzzle is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The Russian "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's Match-3 style example/template/tutorial game, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game. It's yet another of literally hundreds of asset flipped mobile app Match-3/Bejewelled/Candy Crush ripoff games infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
Five Percents have a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. One example of Five Percents doing this is Read Clock Time, which is really the "Read Clock Time Game Template" asset, written by the actual developers, DTT.
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics.
The game features simple, cartoony 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort mobile apps. 3D graphics programming does require a degree of skill and competence and unfortunately not all developers have the budget or talent to deliver this, despite 3D graphics cards hitting the mainstream in the 1990's. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing.
The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just point and click stuff like a browser/Flash game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 5 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Fish Story: Gourmet Puzzle is relatively cheap at 90 cents, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.

Profile Features Limited!

Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.

Thoroughly enjoyed this match 3 game although it was frustrating on a couple of levels. Quit on level 24 (?) but eventually returned and was finally able to pass it. Same with level 45. Basically it is the best (maybe only?) match 3 game I have played that showed what bombs could be created and where which is very helpful for combining bombs! As others have stated... creating bombs and bomb placement requires strategy and planning and is essential to pass levels.
Hope to see more match 3 games from this dev!

In short- good looking Match 3 game with 50 levels and 13 achievements. Usually $0.99 and a good value, it is currently 51% off ($0.49 US) so it's an even better value. Nothing unusual or innovative in the gameplay, just a solid game with a balanced to accomodating RNG. Definitely worth the little money it asks for.

This is basically that Pet Rescue Saga mobile game, but obviously a lot shorter as there are only 55 levels.
It still took me nearly 5 hours to complete, so for the £0.23 I paid (at 71% off) I'd say that's still a good deal.
Some levels were harder than others, some took 20+ tries and then you'd whizz through the next 10, basically to be expected from these games.
Everything worked as it should, options to mute music/sounds and good achievements.
Recommended :)
