When this game functions, there's actually a fairly fun idea here, calling to mind a 3rd (sometimes 1st) person version of Hotline Miami. Unfortunately, the times where this actually game functions correctly are few and far between. There are heaps of glitches and issues that you are guaranteed to run into which make trying to play the game an endurance test of the worst kind. The game is split into two parts, 3rd person auto-runner sections and 1st person, fairly standard FPS sections. During the 3rd person sections, your character will automatically sprint forwards at all costs and your control is limited to dodge rolling, sliding and obviously shooting. The 1st person sections are fairly standard FPS fare. During both sections, your overall goal is the same: Kill every single enemy on the map without getting shot a single time. There are no checkpoints in the parts I played, so death means a complete level restart. Certainly a fun idea if done well, unfortunately there are many, many flaws that ruin this idea. Enemies will phase into the floor at any chance they get. There are incredibly few attempts that *don't* have at least half of your opponents' heads sprouting from the ground like trigger-happy mushrooms. Hitboxes are only in a casual relationship with enemy models, leading to you sometimes needing half a dozen shots until one registers while at other times complete misses instantly ragdoll the opponent. Enemies are supposed to have a red aim line showing when you are in their sights, to tip you off that you are in the process of gaining a third nose hole. Unfortunately enemy models are once again proving to be awful relationship partners, leading to those aim lines sometimes simply lying around on the floor, not belonging to anything in particular, which will either scare you off of proceeding into an actually safe area or remove your chances of spotting your would-be death in advance. Doors you destroy occasionally don't get the memo and have their hitboxes outlive the door itself, leading to situations where you can see an enemy, but trying to shoot them leads to these non-existent doors throwing themselves in front of their heroes. On the opposing side however, enemies can and will occasionally shoot you right through a solid object, making trying to take cover a complete coin-toss on whether or not the game allows this. All of these issues combined mean that trying to actually play the game turns into praying that you run into as few bugs as possible in a lucky run. Load into the level, pray you can actually properly see your enemies, pray that they do not roll a shooting time faster than the speed of light, pray that your shots actually connect, pray that your enemies don't consider cover a funny joke, pray that an enemy did not randomly speed up to run across a third of the map in record time to ambush you, etc. There is a fun game buried below all this, absolutely. However, with the game being in the state that it is, trying to dig up this fun is a task that is simply not worth the headache. Even the singular buck I have paid could guarantee a more fun experience if invested into a singular Snickers instead.

Fun runner kinda game where you dodge and shoot stuff! The movement speed is a little fast in the 3rd person levels, the first person shooter levels are pretty much perfect, the gun model could be more present and not glitch out, but other than that spot on. I would say having a slower movement button would really perfect the 3rd person levels, they are alot of fun, but when you need to navigate the dude runs a bit to much like a crack addict lol.

Another one of Clayton's projects I highly suggest, would recommend trying out the whole collection of games to support this indie dev any day!

Ok, so this was a pretty pleasent purchase for 4 euro this game has a cool design, gameplay and music. But there are 3 mayor issues in my opinion 1. Sliding. -Sliding against a wall will make you slide through it and eventually fall outside the map, making you resart the level. -Sliding can also make you glitch through walls to make shortcuts. When sliding the Viewmodel disappears ? WTH 2.Enemies. -Is it just me or is the hitbox a bit big for the enemies. I found it pretty easy hitting them even if they were dodging the hitbox seemed to be the same as if they were standing, maybe the hitbox has something to do with diffuculty you play on idk. -Sometimes enemies get super fast which I have no problem with, but sometimes they just run through walls because of that ? 3.Maps -While I got a hang of it now at the start it was very confusing which doors you can go through and which you can't. I also got lost inside the maps sometimes because there are no signed paths that lead you through the map, making you run around blind, looking for the last enemies. - The missions instanly ending after killing all enemies and then going instantly into a cutscene is pretty weird. Would be cooler if you exit trough a door, car etc. All in all a very nice game you should try, if you like maximum action or hotline miami. The Textures, Lightning and Models look very fitting. The music is very nice too and fits the style. And the FPS mode is really nice. Edit: Forgot to say it but when walking stairs up or down the view weirdly shifts

I really enjoyed the unique movement and reloading ideas. While not a conventional style of shooter, that's exactly what makes this game stand out. I especially like how the game takes itself serious enough to tell a story, but still allows for goofy moments, particularly with the character models. Overall worth picking up, especially on sale.
