Better than the original but not by much. Cannot recommend it at full price.

I haven't had much time to invest in this new game yet, but I'm currently going through the tutorial and driving different types of vehicles on different tracks and the driving mechanics feel good and seem very solid. I feel like this is going to be a very fun game with a lot of depth as well. The asking price seems kinda steep, but once you start playing it, you'll understand pretty quickly that there is a lot of game here and the replay value should be sky high. https://youtu.be/Yf-k3UZt9Zc I like it so far... but I'll update this review when I have more time to invest! Right now, if you like off road racing games, this feels like one of the better options for that available on Steam.

Firstly, this game is woke and has you decide whether or not you're non-binary, then you pick a body type. Because you can pick a male body but still be a female? What even is that? Video games are suppose to help us escape reality not practice identity politics in a damn off-road game. Secondly, The physics are extremely bad. Upon completing the tutorial I quickly noticed that the physics depend heavily on setting of the vehicle between Rear Wheel Drive, 4 Wheel Drive, and a Locked Diff. When driving the UTV on a dirt road, I ran over a small rock on side of the road which flipped me over. But as soon as I put 4 wheel drive I can drive over anything like its no problem. Also the collisions on rocks are pretty bad, some rocks will put your vehicle to a full stop where others at the same size will let your go over like its nothing. but then you have that one tiny rock that's barely peaking from the dirt it will catch one wheel and put you in a spin cycle until you hit a tree. This affects the ATVs as well so the physics are consistently bad. There is a big problem when using a RWD only bike like a Yamaha Raptor, which is the fastest production ATV... This game makes that bike slower than my minibike IRL. Also despite the slow speed the Raptor feels like its unstable like a Honda Civic on three wheels going 150 MPH. It's a flip missile Mobile game timer in team management? So you want to repair a vehicle? you need to pass in game time. Want a new part of your vehicle? In game time. Oh what, You want to research? In game time sir. Also you can hire staff members like is this an RPG or what? I really want to like the game but the wokeness, physics, collision boxes, and team management are too annoying for me to find any enjoyment.

You know, I honestly can understand why people would be frustrated with Overpass 2. But tbh, I really love it! The scenery is amazing, reminds me of places I've rode irl. The suspension is stiff, but you can tune that to your liking with the different parts in the game. If you want a better camera, turn off the screen shake and it feels like a completely different game. The controls are much better in comparison to the first. Imo it's worth it on sale.

Ignore the negative reviews, this is a first rate UTV/ATV/Rock Bouncer sim. If you invest some time in setting up your controls properly, and drive in a manner that keeps your revs up, it is fantastic fun! I would especially recommend that you turn throttle saturation down to 50% and adjust from there, but you should also adjust steering and brakes to your liking. The scenery is beautiful and there are many great maps. You have a large choice of vehicles. I just got the game and have already put three hours into it, with many more to come. There is an endemic infection of dire negativity in the Steam user reviews, take all negative reviews with a grain of salt. Motorsport titles published by Nacom seem to be particularly hard hit for some reason. I own all of their motorsport titles that have been published in the last five years or so, and every one of them is first rate, despite receiving mixed reviews at best here on Steam. You can safely ignore negative reviews for any titles published by Nacom in the past five years. Their motorsport titles are first rate.

the camera is SO horrible in this game, there is no smoothing so the camera movement is jerky as can be to the point of being nauseating. the vehicles steering is too touchy, the suspension feels too soft side to side, yet the vehicles feel like they bottom out over a pebble. the best way i can describe the driving feel of this game is that of a teeter totter. when taking jumps, the utv randomly tries to tip over in the air one way or the other, never flying flat no matter how square you get to the jump. i thought the physics in the last game were bad, but this is a whole other level of bad. sure, its a pretty LOOKING game, but feels horrible to play. i have requested a refund.

Absolute unrealistic nonsense, physics is so far from reality. Utv stats are just made up, who told them that KRX 1000 trail edition has 200HP and for some reason have more horsepower than just standard KRX 1000??? As an owner of one i can tell that it has more weight for sure because of bumpers but power is around 116HP, and it does behave differently. No open roam mode and actual trails are so badly made and far from reality, UTV just behaves unrealistic, no traction loss like on real rocks on a wrong angle, no skidding at sharp turns, no flipping over when turning angle is too sharp. No fun to play at all. First overpass was okeish but this one is a disaster.
