Join Kai in his daily life as he fails to realize that the two guys he's known since childhood have huge crushes on him. One is his best friend, and the other is his rival. So they can't possibly have romantic feelings for him... right?

im putting a no for this review simply because the main game and DLC are DIFFERENT stories and you might be wondering "well clearly" but i didnt play the game first without the DLC so i bought the DLC as well and now i cant play the main story from when they were in highschool, everytime i load up the game now it loads up the DLC version "prince or villian" which is them as adults. im quite disappointed because i wanted to be able to play the main story and see how the relationship developed in the first place without the small details you get from the DLC. if anyone has any idea how to fix this please let me know otherwise i dont recommend buying the DLC until you complete the first game since i have found the DLC completely takes over the main game
update: i found a way to fix it but i still wouldnt recommend due to the fact you have to go into the DLC tad of the game and click off of it like you uninstall the dlc from the game and just reinstall it when you wanna play it, its def a pain in the butt

MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD
The fact that both Percy and Gavin go out of their way to intercept people who are trying to date Kai is so despicable. It's bellow trash and I really don't like them at all holly f. Like I can put up with the subpar writing and the cringe dialogue but dashing someones chances at love because you are to pathetic to admit your feelings? Like they are perfectly fine with preventing Kai from ever finding love because they won't confess.
Also Percy will date anyone who Kai tells him to, which is also disgusting. Percy is playing with people's feelings and its so gross. He makes Gavin look like a saint, even though he's the "bad boy" character.
ALSO: Gavin and Percy both didn't bother asking Kai for permission to kiss him of even try getting his consent through any kind of body language. They do apologize after but still like don't make that mistake to begin with.
To quote Kaelia, the sister, when she was asked which guy Kai should chose: "Neither. They're both creeps who've been following you for years." I 100000% agree with her, they are really creepy. But I guess this means the author is self aware? lol
Honestly thought, this is the kind of game I would enjoy paying with a friend so we can laugh and rant about it together because it's just that cringe, alone tho....Not so much fun, but I guess the endings were cute.
PS. Just in case the Dev sees this, there is a spelling error: Peri dishes should be Petri dishes.

I love every game by this developer, they're just so cute.
I wish the MC was a bit less dense, or that his childhood friends would grow some balls and tell him their feelings already, but it's still fun to play.
Gavin is mostly my type though he could stand to be a bit more gentle. Percy is a bit too overbearing at times, but he's so sweet.

I liked the game both the secondary characters that surround the main character and the love interests, each one remains true to their personality although we can see that they also have another side different from the one we know. It was a very funny story partly because the main character didn't know anything and also how our love interests fought for the main character.

This game was such a suuper cute, short game. I had lots of fun playing each of the 3 routes. You play as Kai a sweet cinnamon roll whose, obliviousness and tsundere like qualities made his enthusiastic self all that much more adorable. In the game you follow Kai's daily slice of life through school, home, and outside of home, along with two people crushing on him hard and he has yet to notice. Of those two people (his childhood friends), Kai gets to romance either 1 of the 2 (Percy [His Hero] or Gavin [His Rival]), & if you want, you can even end up together with the both of them via the poly option. In the end, I truly loved this short, cute game. All of the CGs were cute and gorgeous. I def recommend it! To the Dev, thank you so much for all of your hard work and keep it up! Can't wait to play more of your games!

It's a fun game, with cute characters. Voice dialogue Would Have Made It way better, but obviously you can't expect it from every visual novel.

its cheap, short and shallow but cute.
the dialogue is almost identical for each route so id just skip to each choice after the first play if you plan to do each route.

I originally was looking forward to this after playing Forgive my Desires, Father and Forgive my Sins, Father. I thought the writing for those games was great, pacing was good and all endings made sense. What I was anticipating from this VN was a product of similar quality, just far more light-hearted.
What a got was a rushed story with strange scene placement and abrupt endings. FOR THOSE WHO DID BUY THIS AND YET TO PLAY IT: PLEASE GO FOR POLY ENDING FIRST, YOU'LL THANK ME LATER.
But let's analyze everything stage by stage. First of all: the story and characters.
The description doesn't lie: you play as a guy who can end up with his childhood friend or rival, or both! There are also MC's family and female BFF who both cheer MC up and prolong his suffering by refusing to give the lightest of hints to Mr. Dense Himbo.
Our MC is Kai: overly dense, dumb and worryingly unaware of some basic concepts young man. He always admired his bff Percy and hated his rival Gavin.
My biggest gripe with Kai is simple: nobody his age should be THIS stupid! It's fine if he likes cute things and such(although the game keeps making fun of him for that), but the guy no idea what "catfishing" was and his attempt at it was so painful, I cringed. He's also mega indecisive: even after clearly going on a date with one of the LIs and spending time with mostly one dude he still has no idea who he likes more! Even after I finally get my first ending, I had doubts about how long his relationship will last. I feel like this MC archetype is only suitable for bottom of the barrel ecchi/hentai VNs, not proper stories.
Next one is Percy, nice guy best friend stereotype. He's been in love with MC forever and likes to be touchy with him. He also doesn't mind Kai's quirks and interest and hates Gavin, because of course. I have to say, this guy got shafted massively. Even on his route, MC keeps obsessing over the other guy(catfishing I mentioned earlier) and texted him far more than he actually interacted with Percy in specific scenes. Not to mention Percy came off as too one-dimensional compared to Gavin because he simply lacked screentime. Poor lad.
Gavin aka the tsun rival character. He's stuck between bullying Kai and having feeling for him at the same time. He actually felt somewhat two-dimensional compared to the other two because he was clearly struggling with his emotions. But at the same time his refusal to call out Kai on his catfishing bs made him less likable(the whole subplot was too long imho).
That said, the only character I actually hated was Kai's sister. All she did was insult everyone and be overly mean for no reason. She was nothing but a caricature of a young girl going through puberty. All her scenes felt like a waste of time because she contributed nothing to the plot until her final appearance when she was ACTUALLY nice. Ugh.
Few words about poly ending: the game felt like it was made with it in mind and individual endings felt like bad/normal ends. The game is a massive common route until last 5 minutes. If you're expecting Percy and Gavin to warm up to each other over time, tough luck. In the very last scene they just mutually agreed on sharing Kai and after that the game ended. No extra scenes with MC trying to make them tolerate each other, no nothing. Which means poly route only had one unique scene. That's why you should get this ending first instead of two. What a rip-off.
UI was alright, I liked how I can look at CG gallery during playthrough without having to quit to the main menu.
Music and sfx were annoying and repetitive. It felt like this vn only had 4 tracks, after my first route I turned everything off.
Overall, if you're interested in this because of poly ending, better look elsewhere. If you want proper individual routes, look elsewhere. Instead, just go and play(and maybe pay for) other VNs by this dev on itch.io! All of them have a single LI, but they seem to be more focused compared to this one.

My Nemesis and Hero is such a sweet Boys' Love visual novel. I can't even compare it to anything else I've played before! It's astonishingly adorable. I was reading the story with a silly smile glued to my face from the very start till the end. That was truly relaxing to play something so naive, innocent and cute.

Praises:
+Colors are so pleasant to look at. What a great choice for the story. I can't say art is exceptionally pretty. Nope, not to my taste, at least. CGs aren't that marvelous. But visual part feels so perfect for the story, they really complement each other in an ideal way.
+MC is such a sweet, pure, innocent boy. I was practically melting from excitement. And honestly, it feels like some kind of miracle. Was it a great writing? Was I playing it in a perfectly suitable mood? But I quite often find such oblivious, dense characters annoying and ridiculous but I was all like 'Oh my, aww, oh God, what a sweetie' Why?! What kind of spell did you cast on me? Why was I reacting in such a silly way? How did you do it? I don't understand but I'm so grateful for this experience!

+Mom deserves a separate mention. She's so supportive, understanding. I don't know perhaps someone is lucky to have such parents or at least to know such people but my surrounding is really toxic and homophobic in this regard. But to play this game and imagine that THIS can be a reality, THAT is the way it must be. Immersing myself into that story and feeling that approval no matter what was kinda healing. THANK YOU!
+Two love options having so contrast personalities were depicted in an awesome way. To experience THAT kind of deep love was something extremely enjoyable. And poly route was the perfect ending of the game. They (& I inserted to MC's image) deserve that kind of happiness! <3
+Small interactive moments were SWEET as well!

Complaints:
--The biggest flaw of the game, in my opinion, is only six save slots :((((( Why?! WHY?! Is it really so difficult to make more?(( I like saving before every choice. I didn't notice at first there's only one page with save slots and then every time I had to decide which one to delete I was devastated T_T And that mocking question if I'm sure I want to rewrite my save, I DON'T. But did you leave me a choice? T_T
--I wish phone messages weren't autoplayed. Let me decide myself when to continue. It doesn't mean they were uncomfortably fast or smth, still I didn't like it. While playing I get distracted a lot, chatting, checking emails or smth else on my computer (partially the reason you never should trust my steam game time on record). But I had to stay 100% focused on the game while talking on the phone xD Not a nice feeling to be forced to do it :)
--No explicit content. And that's great! For this angelic story for the first time in my life I'm not even gonna complain about it BUT what left me a tad disappointed is that tiny 'intimate' content we were still lucky to get when they finally kissed after the confession, it was identical in two different routes. WHY?! It was such a loss. The characters are too different, I just can't feel absolutely the same in these so different relationships. Just a couple of sentences but they ruined all the pleasure during the second playthrough.
--Typos.
There're 3 BL VNs released by the same devs THIS year. I'm a bit disappointed I missed when it happened. T_T I'm definitely gonna buy and play their other games as well. And I undoubtedly recommend them as an amazing, relaxing, sweet experience.

Alright well... This is my first BL VN... I saw this and my instincts were like "Play it... You will like it..." Had to play it immediately. I was hesitant at first... Since I don't really like these kind of things... Or I should say, I didn't get why people were so obsessed with these...
After reading it, nodding to the tune and the writing... I actually found myself enjoying it. Dense characters tick me off... But this one? It was actually amusing and I wished all the best for him and his two lovers. I even liked the CGs... Maybe because I saw pretty guys on the screen...
The designs in the game are cutesy! I love "Mr. Chocci..." So adorable... I like the cat too that Gavin found.
There are no bad ending... Thank goodness! I can carry out my promise to the person of only acquiring good endings with good feelings. I chose one person in one timeline and then another and then you can do both. The options are simple and straightforward... You don't need to do freaking math equations of college level to impress anyone and no one was put in a cage because a person tried to protect them! (Seriously, if you know what I am talking about... Look away, it's my own opinion and don't explain that thing to me.)
Ahem... It was sweet, nice and gentle and now I kinda want to play more games like these... I also noticed that this game has more physical contact vs some girl oriented games I've read. Wonderful.
Keep up the good work... I am glad I gave this a try! :D ;) =)
P.S. "Mr. Chocci" and cat ftw. (I don't do favorites...) :D
