This is an abysmally awful and low effort text adventure with zero care or thought about trying to make a fun game to play.

This game is terrible. Period. Imagine being forced to type commands out exactly as written in the choices without any ability to abbreviate them, Imagine a text game with choices that is designed so poorly that the developers didn't even consider giving the player number choices so the player could simple type 1 or 2 to make their choice. Instead, the player is forced to type out commands such as "start adventure" and spell each command perfectly or see an "invalid option" error. ARGH!
There are also no commands that were part of any decent text adventure back in 1981 such as "inv" for inventory or "examine" to examine an item or monster. Nothing like that exists here and its the exact same adventure every time you play with zero randomness to change things up a little every time you play.

To compound matters and show how little the developers seem to care, they currently have this paragraph right on their own store page (highlighted with the red box in this image)

They seem almost 'proud' to state right on the store page of their first game here on Steam that if there are any bugs found or reported in their game, they don't really care. They'll be in NO RUSH to fix any bugs, and get this... but they hope you enjoy their game anyhow!
I've been reviewing games a long time over many years here on Steam, but I think this is a first to ever see such a bold "we don't care" statement from indie developers concerning any bugs or problems their game might have. If anything should give you a red flag screaming "Do Not Buy This!", then that right there should be all you need to stay far, far away!
--------------------------------------------------
This game would have been avoided even if it were free back in 1981, But asking $2 for this in 2022 should be a crime.
NOT RECOMMENDED. Paying for this is like paying money to have someone poke you in your eye with an ice pick.

I am truly delighted by this game.
Does it crash randomly? Yes!
Does it get into loops where no matter what I type it spits back "Invalid Command" at me? YES!
Did the devs have the chutzpah to ship it? YES!!!
I have a game on steam. I know what is required in order to get a game like this shipped.
More than anything else, I applaud the bravery.
You learned some python, made a game, and shipped it on steam.
Well done, fellows. Well done.
I got my $2 worth of enjoyment out of the first play through, when I decided to stand watch and a bear nearly killed me, only to have the game slip into the Help mode and I was unable to recover.
I'd like to see somebody speed run this.
A million percent recommended, but don't think yer getting an amazingly polished game.

Crashed after naming my turtle dumpus and trying to go to another shop :(
Also very specific with it's typing. I used the plural of a word as the answer and got it wrong, tried the singular and it accepted it. Love this style of game so I hope dev keeps working on it!

This game is not worth 2 bucks in its current state. It's that simple, but as someone who has just enough skill in programming to kind of replicate what this game is I see what they were going for. Good on the developer for having the courage to publish this project in the first place. Honestly if they fleshed out some QOL improvements and added more content this could be worthy of the 2 bucks I dropped to buy it. I hope the dev continues their work to create something note worthy.
