I'm a friend of the developer of this game, so here's my review. A short, involving and engaging experience with thought out puzzles and level structure. A few bugs here and there, but really solid overall. I found it only took 1-2 seconds between loading screens. Keep up the good work man :)

The devs heart is in the right place for this first project they have completed but it is not ready yet. There are some bugs that need to get fixed first for a good experience before you invest your money in it. Update - After the patches were applied I found a few more bugs that should iron out the last of the issues needed to complete the game for most. There were a few good old school puzzles in the game and I liked the twist at the beginning with the shower scene to let you know that it's not what you were expecting. Overall though the game is pretty rough. What you encounter after the farm house doesn't really make sense with the ending and what just happened to get there. After more patches maybe it will be a better experience but it wasn't great the first time around.

Whoa! I reviewed this game in January and I've just played it again and I'm changing my review to 'recommend' as promised. The resolution/hidden things bug have been fixed. I played without major problems and was able to enjoy the story and puzzles. Great job devs! I really appreciate your quick fix of the errors. I love these types of games and can't wait until your next one! Original Review Jan 2022: Needs work. In its current condition, I can't recommend this. Reading other reviewers, I found out why I kept getting stuck. Not everything is in view. Nearly impossible to progress in a game when there are important things like the exit from the upper balcony in the 2nd chapter hidden on the periphery. After 10 minutes of going from the crowbar window to the lower balcony unable to get back in the house, I gave up. Same thing happened with the mug- too far right. I never saw either of them. We at least need to be told which resolution it should be played on. This major, gameplay issue aside, I rather liked the game. It looked good. I always like the sound of rain- so that was a plus and the story had me curious so far, so I'll give the devs a chance. I understand things take time to make right. This isn't a 'not recommend' its a 'not recommend right now'. I'll check back and see if there's any improvement. If there is, I'll change my review. Also, I didn't experience long load times between scenes.

A short but intriguing story. Very different from other puzzle-esque games I've played; I found myself having to take notes down about things I found to progress. Other reviews mention a few bugs, but I think the dev has patched it as I don't think I encountered any. Graphics: 7/10 General Sound: 9/10 Music: 6/10 (ambient music... fits well but was a bit repetitive) Atmosphere: 8/10 Story: 7/10 Gameplay: Point & Click Puzzles: 6/10 (pretty unique, but mostly not all that hard) The last chapter was really interesting, I wish it'd continued, but the ending didn't leave room for a continuation :/ The game is capped at 60fps but that doesn't matter in this style of game I guess.

nice little atmospheric puzzle game, which is neither brilliant nor disappointing in any respect. had a fun 2 hours or so with it. could have been shorter if i had seen a hotspot (belonging to an object to be picked to progress) earlier. it's always hit and miss with humble, low budget indie games but i'm certainly not regretting buying and playing this. recommended.

Great sound design and immersion. Bugs have mostly been fixed in latest patch. Very impressive for a first game by a single developer

Go in with the right expectations, as it's short and minimalistic, but it's a decent effort and while nothing in it is noteworthably good, nothing is really bad, either, except for the story. I liked the mood, so it gets the thumb up, but there's room for improvement, especially since it's a little too short for the price, so what content it has needs to be better to make up for that. Graphics are alright and make good use of color and lighting, but look a little asset-switch-y and a lot of areas seem too empty. The ending seems unfinished due to being presented as roughly sketched still images which simply doesn't fit the rest of the game and cannot convincingly be considered a matter of style, but is very obviously a matter of means. Sound is okay, could use some more unsettling background noise and while poor voice acting might end up being worse than no voice acting, I suggest giving it a try and adding them for the few spoken word parts the game has. The puzzles focus too much on finding keys or lock codes and are too easy and generic. They work as a way to direct you through the locations, but as the only gameplay element, they are too weak. Not a fan of automatic item use, either, but I'd argue it doesn't make much of a difference since the possible points of interaction are limited anyways. The story is where the game lost me. A woman who's hardly even a character having been killed as the personality and background motivation for some guy is such an overused and lazy trope it makes it hard to care about what is going on, especially since the reason she got killed is just as uninteresting and clichéd and way too obvious way too early anyways, so the reveal at the end seems weird and unnecessary. The game is also a little confusing and reluctant when it comes to letting you know who you actually are, what your relation to the other characters is and what you are looking for. So there's a lot to improve, but it's probably best to use the feedback for the next game. This one's more or less mediocre, but likable, so I recommend it with a heavy grain of salt. Know what you're getting into and you can have a harmless hour or so of clicking through a moody puzzle game.

Loading screen between rooms is about 10 seconds and considering you move from one room to another every 10 seconds thats waaay to long and you basically spend half of your time staring at a black screen. The game on most resolutions doesn't even show everything your charachter is supposed to see so you need to play on a specific resolution to see stuff, the problem is on that resolution you can't clearly read clues that you need to read to play the game! I get it that this is a cheap and indy game, but that doesn't mean it can't be made with effort. + question for the devs: how are you supposed to see whats written in that duck?? Edit: the dev responded quickly and fixed the issues I had. Thanks for the help!
