6/10 - This was a pretty short (under 6 hrs) detective style monster hunting visual novel. Very light on story and you basically just try to hunt monsters for four weeks until you deal with the boss monster.

In this game you're hunting monsters to give the demon Kurokami-sama a feast every 10 days.
Edit: While doing a guide on the monsters I saw that I had some infos wrong, I'm updating my review.
My guide to help you with the monsters:
How to play the game - Tips
- To start go to the emails and check the boxes so you can meet the monster mentionned in it.
- There seems to be no more than one monster per place. You don't need to kill each one to get it's food.
- Every round there seems to be at least a place where you can develop your experience so you can fight Kurokami-sama when the time comes. It seems once you used it it isn't interesting to go back in that round (every round in 10 days)
- Of the 10 days the last one is reserved to cook for the deity.
- You don't need to use your skill everytime! That's why choosing your partner is mandatory. Refer to the guide for more infos.
- Sometimes you have a mini game, you just have to click as soon as you see a signal, too soon or too late and you're dead.
- For some monsters you will have to ask around. Generally monsters mentionned in emails cost 1 actions and those you ask around cost 2 actions. But it is not a rule.
My opinion
So all in all I did 2 rounds until now. It is kind of repeatitive in its mechanics but there are new monsters and places every round and the story seems to start after round 2. The visuals are very nice and the game is enjoyable for it's price. I am not sure yet how much it is worth as a Visual Novel or if listening to my partners thoughts will have an impact later.

Cute horror adventure game, a bit too light on story but all the different Yokai and the endings make it worth the asking price. The artwork is nice and the game has a good amount of event CGs, shame the game doesn't have a gallery to view the CGs after completing it. It's made on unity but surprisingly is a lot less stable and missing normal quality of life features compared to previous Minatosoft/Minato Carnival titles. Depending on how many endings you go for you'll probably get 2-5 hours from this. Overall I recommend.

The game was decent. It took me about 2.4 hours to clear my first pass. This was me playing with rampant save scumming as I tried to get through each week without burning too much spirit energy. I discovered that each monster you face has different results when you face them with different partners. Some spirits can be defeated by your partners without using your own power and still leave behind monster food. Those are really the golden ones and the paths you want to find because spirit energy regenerates really slowly and if you rely only on that, you won't get much food.
This is less a game and more of a visual novel so it lives or dies on its story. The story isn't that interesting though. Not much really happens. You run around with the other Scoobies and fight monsters. Kurokami is probably the most fleshed out of all the characters but even she doesn't receive much characterization. The plot is pretty much what you expect: a demon or whatever forces you to hunt down monsters to feed her. The writing is bare bones and that's a problem for a visual novel. I'll probably try to play through a second time to see if I can get a 'good' ending (or maybe I did get the good ending, I don't know).
Anyway, game is decent. If the concept looks appealing to you and you want to burn a few hours then give it a try but this isn't a game that I would be recommending to my friends.
