A great game for fans of Moomin. I was really surprised at the variety of tasks and mechanics that you work with in the game. The art style is beautiful and invites you to move through the world slowly and take in the scenery.

What an adorable fun game! Loved playing through it. The music, art, and more were tops. And the plot very on-brand for a Snufkin themed game. Good times were had.

Great game. I thought the way the artwork was done (almost looked like watercolor paint), was excellent. Great music too, along with the puzzles and game play.
A game for the whole family. Sort of makes me want to go and watch the TV show now and visit Moomin World in Finland some day.

short, sweet and full of mischief!
great for both fans of the Moomins or Untitled Goose game.
Plays well, every asset looks amazing, and the dialogue is very good characterization to the point where i couldn't help but do impressions from the 90's tv show. I'll be getting my nephew a chance to play asap

This game is absolutely wonderful, it has such a cozy and comfortable feeling to it. The art style makes it feel like you're walking around in one of the picture books by Tove Jansson. I loved that the platforming wasn't too difficult and that there were lots of little side quests that could easily be done alongside the main quests. The instrument and inspiration mechanic really made it fun to explore, to see what gives Snufkin inspiration. The vistas and look out spots were beautifully done, and definitely deserve some time for one to just look at. The storyline and puzzles within the storyline were so fun, they weren't necessarily difficult, and the environmental contributions to some of the puzzles were so fun. Who would've thought police officers were scared of thunder.
All in all thank you for such a wonderful game that I can relax to after stressful days at work.

Tove Jansson's wholesome world has been translated into a beautiful interactive watercolour painting with easy gameplay mechanics for beginners to gaming, and delivers an important message throughout the plot - though quite on-the-nose.
You do not need to have watched the series or read the books to be able to enjoy this game - but I would highly advise that you check out the source material as well if this game piqued your interest. The game's events and dialogue also carry some more weight when you're more familiar with the world and characters.
This review comes from a very biased perspective; as I am someone who grew up with Moomin in Scandinavia and have adored it since childhood. This game brings me so much personal joy and infinite nostalgia both for Moomin Valley and the Nordic wilderness. I know that Moomin is beloved across the globe, but there is something so special about Moomin to those of us who grew up with it in the Nordic countries.
Getting to see the wide variety of characters and creatures from Jansson's books and interacting with them was just lovely. Really great to see some lesser known characters as well, for those who only watched the animated series.
Bravo Hyper Games for giving us the ability to interact with Tove Jansson's world as if the pages of the books came to life!
I loved every minute of my playthrough of the main game and the DLC! HIGHLY recommend for beginner gamers, nature and animal lovers, those who want to immerse themselves in a world that is safe and comforting - and of course to any fan of Moomin out there.

This was short, but adorable.
I liked the art style, it was like you fell into a children's book.
The story was straightforwards, as were the puzzles.
Easy game, but a lot of doubling and tripling back - so buy it if you get frustrated by that.
The game is very short, so I would recommend picking up only when it's on sale.

I bought this game because it looked cute and comforting, even though i did not grow up reading or knowing anything about moomin or snufkin
The characters and artwork is really super cute and pleasing, and music is great and comforting, but the gameplay is pretty repetitive and boring to be honest. Not much variations in things you can do, most of the game involves playing your 3 instruments to appease nature, run around in search of objects, and some platformer things which involves you waiting for the hotspot to appear then only you can interact with it, which makes me question what's the purpose of the spacebar other than that? Well maybe you can just jump around for fun lol
Game is pretty short too, can be finished in maybe like 4-5 hours? and not much depth in the story/ plot. I mean, i get that maybe it's supposed to be like a children's story book, but almost all the characters are kind of shallow, there is not much dialogue that tells you the character's personality and such, and the dialogues are no fun too. As a person who doesn't really know the moominverse well, i would have loved it it there is more explanations and more interactions between the characters, which can help me know what's their relationship and such, as well as more stories about each of the characters themselves, because they're all so cute!
I do like the concept of being nice to people in the game, like helping a creature remove a rope from his neck, helping bees find their hives, etc, but in the theme of helping nature, other than destroying the parks we don't really get much option to help nature much, there are side quest to help people but even those are not much to be honest. and then what i feel most contrasting to the theme of helping is, at 1 point point
Snufkin went and destroyed Fillyjonk's garden and made such a mess! i fell that this act kind of antagonizes on what he's promoting in the game, he didn't even offered to help Fillyjonk clean up the mess!
Another thing that got on my nerves is that the map doesn't have a label for where peoples are, and no specific hotspots like where the parks are, where an area is blocked or where there is a dead end, etc, which makes backtracking very hard and unhelpful, especially when you're trying to complete a quest and end up lost somewhere.
The ending is ok, happy end yayyy hurray hurray, but you don't get to see how the moominvalley spring back to life after you saved it, which is a bummer for me, i would have loved to be able to look around the valley again after the ending, to see the changes that happen and see how beautiful it is! but no we don't get that, instead you get the credits, which do have some illustrations hinting what happens in the valley after (there is hot air balloon but we didn't get to explore it the game?!!)
I think the game is kind of overpriced for the content it offers, it almost seems like the game is pricey just cause it's Moomin, so if you want to get it, maybe get it on sale? it's not a bad game but i feel like it can offer so much more, 6/10
