Imagine if Phasmophobia only had one house that you revisited a dozen times, and played like a mid-90's first person adventure game, the kind that got popular after CD-ROMs became popular where you stand on a static point looking around, clicking to move to another static point. Or for a more modern reference, Google Street View. Jump around the house that unfolds a little as you play, trying to determine the type of ghosts and locations for the current day or night. Thermal scanner shows handprints in the stairway? That's one of your 3 ghosts and locations found.
That's really kind of it on the gameplay front, but that sells it rather short. The fact it uses 360 photography from a real building lends it a kind of believable vibe and creep factor that all the Unity Engine phasmo clones cannot ever hope for. It also has a story, that kinda goes places and gives some context.
It's also about 3 hours long.
Overall, it's a fun little budget experience. I really don't think it's worth the full asking price but your mileage may vary. However when it goes half-price it's very much worth it for a spooky evening.
