One of the best and challenging puzzle games I’ve played so far, even if i got stuck on some puzzles for a while it still was fun to actually solve them and gives that feeling of satisfaction. So anyone who left a bad review just gave up too easily cuz this game is great.

Played this game on stream with my friend, RainbowPaint over on Twitch. The game is fantastic! You really have to think with some of the puzzles and the artwork is a great sight to behold. Good game to stream with. As we were playing thorough, i recalled a jumpscare trigger and tricked my partner to trigger it (we had to do the part over as we ended last time prior to finishing the chapter). Got to see the event and her reaction :D

Played this game and had a good time figuring out the puzzles. Are only real complaint is on the puzzle where you got to feed people there is an extra part of the puzzle that was mentioned earlier in the level that we had forgotten about by the time we got to that part which caused us to try and restart the whole level before we figured out what we had forgotten about. I think that part of the puzzle should have been brought back up later in the puzzle. The puzzles were quite difficult and some required a little trial and error to reach the solution. There is definitely no real hand holding but all puzzles can be solved and the game beaten. I honestly think this game is getting more hate then it deserves.

Certainly doesn't deserve Overwhelmingly Negative. Fun co-op escape room, the puzzles were engaging and intuitive. Ran into some minor bugs. Worth checking out for a short two-player puzzle game.

I've been pleasantly surprised by this escape room challenge. The setting is creepy with unique scares and fun challenges. Many Escape Room games I've played are pretty standard with number challenges -- but Malice sets out unique challenges including looking for items, puzzles with riddle hints, and even matching items through MUSIC! The first challenge had us quite stumped, but the more Waldo0120 and I work through this game the more we can spot the Dev's way of thinking. I don't think I've enjoyed an Escape Room quite this much before. There are a few rough edges and bugs still the in game, but I believe the Devs are grabbing feedback and fixing it as they go because we haven't experienced most of whats listed in other reviews. We had the game kick us once, but the puzzles were easy to re-solve and get back to our prior point easy. We just solved Chapter 2 and I look forward to completing the game!

Only have done the first chapter, it made me feel like a fool with the beginning puzzle already. Only had one puzzle stump me, but my friend and I were able to brute force through it so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Will update the review after going through the next chapters, but chapter 1 was interesting enough. Edit: So I've now played through the entire game with a friend, and I have to admit that it was fun throughout the game. We encountered a few bugs and glitches along the way, but the recent patch notes seem to have taken care of them. Through the whole thing, we only got stuck on two of the puzzles; and both of them were entirely our fault for not paying attention to what we had access to at that time. It's not an overly long game however; but for its price? Sure, I'd recommend it for a fun coop experience.

Don't let the reviews on this game deter you, I really believe that this is one of the best coop horror games out there right now and if you have a buddy you should give it a chance. I believe that most of the negative reviews came from a launch period in which the game suffered some disconnect issues as well as normal bugs, but I can tell you after beating the entire game with a partner 100% that we only suffered 2 bugs and neither of them were disconnects. One bug was my partner getting stuck on an object, and the second was a puzzle borking itself and we just had to restart in both cases and it was fine after. Barely a few minutes of time lost due to the bugs. The puzzles in this game are challenging for sure and you'll need to definitely put on your thinking caps to solve a few of them, but none of the puzzles are cruel in their difficulty and none of them felt like they had cheap solutions. Getting a puzzle done is quite satisfying and I am only sad that this game did not have more chapters. The world and puzzles are all unique and we had a great time through the 4 - 5 hour game. Knowing some basic Hiragana will help speed some puzzles along, but you don't need to know it at all as there are guides in the game that will tell you what you need to know. HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you grab a buddy and pick up this game.

I feel obligated to leave a review because its got such negative reviews, and I'm literally not sure why. We did not encounter bugs, it was difficult at times, but nothing we couldn't solve, and it was fairly atmospheric. Again, not sure why it's overwhelmingly negative??? Either it was patched a ton by the time we played, or the people buying this weren't looking for a difficult puzzle game, but regardless I liked this a bunch. If your'e a puzzle fan, you should defo this this bad boy despite its bad reviews. F the haters, or something cool.

Mind you, only played for an hour so it kind of doesn't justify a fair review for the game as a whole. However, an hour is enough to experience the little things. My partner and I got stuck at the 2nd puzzle after the door (which also took awhile). Either we're not big brain enough for this game, or it's the games unclear hints and lack of direction for the players. We've had trouble figuring out what to do next as from the notes we had didn't give any clear directions as to what to do next. There are lots of items you can interact with but what to do with all those items are unclear. The game doesn't let you know if items are key items needed to progress, nor tell you if they are no longer needed once used. The inventory system is very annoying to use, but I guess you can get used to it? But it seems to work the opposite way you'd expect a normal inventory to work. Instead of zooming in on an item with the scroll wheel, you have to Hold left click and move the mouse up to zoom in, and back to zoom out. Then to move the item around, you have to hold right click. To spin the item around you just move the mouse without clicking anything. To select a different item, you scroll with the mouse. Instead I think you should select an item first by clicking on it, then allow me to zoom in and out with the scroll wheel, let me move it around with left click, and spin it with right click. That's just my opinion. Also experienced a bug where I can only spin the item and can't zoom in or move the item. Would have to scroll to another item first, then back to fix it. Would also be nice if I could select the item on the hot bar with my top row number keys instead of just scrolling. Why can't I change the keybinds? Why is there no mouse sensitivity option? Don't know if it's what they intended, but the footsteps don't sound like it's coming from you. When you walk forward the footstep sounds are coming from behind you. When you move sideways right the footsteps are coming from your left. Vice versa for moving backwards and moving left. Dropping items can be very loud for no reason. The atmosphere is nice I guess. For now, I'd say not recommended mainly due to the games lack of clarity. But perhaps people are smarter than I was and can actually get through the first two parts of the game. That's what I hope most people are able to do. If not, then the game indeed has issues with clarity. Knowing Japanese may benefit you. I don't know Japanese.
