The game was abandoned. Without further development, the game lacks a lot of crucial features:
- Clearer visuals for enemy effects
- Ball options that lead to different strategies each run
- Ball type indicators or indicators of the last ball you used, so you know if other balls will activate their effects
- Mechanics balances. There's very little reason to pick some of the balls that show up, like the mousecatdog chain. The mechanics are also not balanced in terms of the enemy progression in each run, you can just farm the first enemy for money for example.
It's sad to say but this game came at a time it could've become something but it didn't become something. Maybe the developer had some reason they couldn't devote time anymore, maybe the challenges of making the game were too much, I don't know. I only ended up here because I saw a video calling the game "new" and didn't realize it wasn't new, this was before steam added the "this early access game hasn't been updated in X time" feature.
I hope the dev's doing okay, but I can't leave a positive review.
