Why does this game exist? It seems to serve no real purpose or goal, the audio is terrible, the controls are clunky, its an unoptimized pos.

Motherland is a good, atmospheric indie game with an interesting non-linear story, open world and good voice acting.

In this game, I liked that there is an open world as well as an interesting story. A lot of sadness in the game is added at home - panels, which are all the same type and make you think about a lot ...

God-awful game. Whoever made this ensured you will have the worst time imaginable playing it. The game has almost zero plot and story, with no direction on what to do or where to go, and a huge—and I mean HUGE—open map/world that is empty as hell, filled only with random people chasing you. You can run very slowly. There are just some random switches in the game. Nothing is explained here. I've been running around for an hour, accomplished almost nothing, and found nothing—just a waste of your time and mine. Absolutely 0/10. This game was probably made in 30 minutes and left and put it in the store.

Nice atmosphere but not really a great game. Bad optimization too. I had to force the game to exit as the quit/exit button did not work as intended.

If you enjoy walking simulators that feature remote, dystopian landscapes this could be worth some of your time. However, this is definitely a game to purchase when it's on sale. The world is massive and strangely beautiful in it's own way, but there's not much going on in it. As many others have noted, you're basically hunting for switches in order to open gates and gain access to the next area. You also have to avoid security personnel dressed in hazmat suits on account of the Covid-19 pandemic. The developer seems to be of the opinion that the whole pandemic episode was staged and masks and vaccines are a bunch of BS, lol. Everyone gets to make up their own mind about these things, of course. Personally I think it's ridiculous but there is something almost comical about it at the same time in terms of a scenario for a video game. There is no in-game map to consult which is a major strike in a big open world game like this. It's almost as though they used Pathologic 2 as a sort of template but didn't have the time/resources to make an actual game of it, so they decided to make what's basically a walking simulator instead. Still a somewhat interesting and worthwhile experience, if you can get it at 80 or 90 percent off.

It's so janky. You could be talking to someone, and if people are outside of the building, everyones voices just overlap with each other into one headache inducing mess. Doors make the sound of being opened despite being locked and not interact-able. And that was just in the first few minutes of playing the game.

+ Great atmosphere +Great sound design/music -No plot/story to follow -Bad optimisation (low framerate) most likely due to particle effects and npc programming. Overall a good game, its main draw is unique atmosphere, not many games show russian/soviet environment, the only 1 I can think of is stalker but even that game has a post-appocalyptic twist to it.

A game that brings up burning topics. It is both soulful and sad, atmospheric. It's cool that there are in-game achievements. I would also like to point out a minus: the game has problems with optimization. My computer can barely handle it.

In the role of an ordinary American, who by chance is locked in the city of ZaMKADsk, due to the COVID, the player will have to wander around the city in search of something unknown. Pros:

+ Great soundtrack
+ Starting location
+ Memes and Easter eggs
+ Giant map!
+ Cruise control
+ Run from the police and SWAT!
+ Achievements
Minuses:

- Lack of plot and logic
- Monotonous, gray world
- No map
- Bugs
- Bad optimization
Total: This game has been on the wish list for a very long time, I have reviewed the screenshots and positive reviews for this game many times. And finally decided to buy it. But I deeply regret this decision... In the description for the game there is a genre of "horrors" - which does not fit this project at all, since it does not even have an elementary screamer. We, in the role of an American, must... And what exactly are we supposed to do in this game? No one will tell you this, but initially - we should just go to the pharmacy. Having reached which we learn that we will not be served and .. That's it! The rest of the time we have to explore the city, hiding and escaping from police patrols and ambulances. From time to time, bumping into strange levers that stand in various places and notes - which leaves us "Incognito". The game has no map, no descriptions, and is huge - so finding those levers is a pain in the ass. "I saw a lever in a landfill" - great! But where is this landfill? Around the corner? On nearby street? Or on the other side of the map? I strongly do not recommend this project for purchase. You should not be fooled by stupid positive reviews from narrow-minded players that they see in this work - the game of the millennium.
