Fuchian Chronicles has a great story told through great characters in a world setting that is very fleshed out.
I highly recommend this game if your interested in a fun, fleshed out RPG experience in space with both ground and space battles.
RPG maker games are often looked down upon however Fuchian Chronicles is one game that shows no matter the engine, a game when developed by a passionate creator can overcome such short sighted views.
