Play through here w/ all achievements and time stamps: https://youtu.be/0TAS2Y0gIr0 Overall this is a pretty neat game I wish there was some background music, but this is definitely a unique game never seen anything quite like it. The achievements are easy to get especially if you can figure out how to script the "Hacked" documents. It's really short and it's pretty minimalistic, but for a $1.39 it's pretty neat to see how you can customize the game while you get those juicy achieves.

this game fooled my teacher, i was at school and i wanted to play a game so i booted up this game, played for a bit than my teacher walked over to me and said "what are you working on?" so i had to think and i said "just something for math" and she fell for it. i give this game a 4/5

That didn't work for me. I got caught and got fired for it. They put a younger, prettier assistant in my place. But I doubt she types as fast as I do. They were the ones who lost

It took me some times to figure this one out. When I first played this game I said to myself "WTF" :) but after few minutes I got the idea and actually enjoyed it. Pity that we are working from home due to the pandemic restrictions so I can't trick my Boss or employees. Just my 7 years old daughter that was impressed how fast I can type without watching the keyboard.

On the one hand, I really want to give the game a thumbs up for a creative and somewhat neat idea for a really cheap price. On the other hand, though, I really must give it a thumbs down for not offering much at all, even at this price level plus thirty percent off; because in the end, cheap does just not justify bland. I do enjoy any just semi-rewarding grinding game for a while, but looking at the short time invested here, I had rather counted cars drive by my window - even if the game had been for free. Where the game mechanics in any way challenging or rewarding, it would be a different story. However, it is random key bashing in it's dullest form. For making your own decision, I would say: This game could be for you if... ...you enjoy playing a kind-of-fun-idea and like reading the creative mini-story around it (the levels are text files, written in a semi-entertaining way to be fair). ...you like to support small (tiny) independent projects. ...you want an easy achievement-collector's game. ...you wish to prove to yourself how quirky of a character you are. This game is probably not for you if... ...you want value for your money (or time) - the game is very cheap, but objectively looking at fun provided, you probably get around ten minutes out of it before it get's boring at best. ...you expect entertainment to stimulate your brain in any just so slight way. Fun fact: I spent more thought and effort on writing this review than I did on beating the game, and all of its achievements.

It's hard to be disappointed with a game that costs less than a candy bar, but it's also rare to enjoy one. Hardwork Simulator a novel idea that demands a more complete implementation. The physics are janky in a satisfying way, and the game is the perfect blend of casual nonsense with options to customize. Of course after less than 30 minutes, all of the content is complete. Would love to see a more realized version with development of the ideas this game shows can work.
