Like the stars that twinkle in the night sky, two hearts that melt together won't be separated. Even if these hands are separated, as long as the two never forget... Peak VN.

First of all I don't care about H-scenes and not so much about route of character looking literally like kindergarten kid. Only thing that I don't like it's script censorship. But for me it's not enough for not reading this visual novel. So I want to support devs nevertheless. Thank you for translation and release on Steam! Before I started Muv-Luv 5 years ago, I was told to watch Rumbling Hearts anime first. I din't like anime and watched it by force. I on Haruka side between Mitsuki and Haruka. So in the anime, it infuriated me that Takayuki was causing Haruka suffering and behaving stupidly. And one of the reasons why I really wanted to read visual novel, was to choose Haruka (But overall Akane is my favorite girl from this title. Mitsuki is least favorite from main trio). And now 5 years later vn translation finally came out. From anime I remembered general plot and main characters, but nothing more. And so, my impressions are good. Best description of this vn is "Pain, pain, pain". And I mean not tears - just pain. Game didn't make me cry, but caused pain a lot of times. Of course, Takayuki is a slob, he can't make a decision for a very long time and causes pain to others, but 80-90% of the time he doesn't piss me off. Only in some cases he does. Sometimes I even got enjoyment when Takayuki is angry and misbehaves with Haruki and Mitsuki at the same time. I have a lot of recorded thoughts about every route. They are spoilerish, so I won't be posting them here. I will just say that my favorite route is Akane, then different Akane route, then Haruka route. Mitsuku herself and her route is kinda meh for me. I'm not saying that Mitsuku is bad character. She really did a lot for Takayuki. Just she is not for my liking. I really liked the scene when Daikuuji chastises Mitsuki in the apartment of Takayuki. I even reread it a second time (lol). And I can't not mention Homura route. It was something else. Despite censorship some shocking stuff still presented in this version. Also it is Worth noting that this vn have not just one route per girl. But some girls have several routes. It's rare case. Scenes from Sky Temple was a little annoying most of the times. I wonder if this restaurant have any profit or all money goes to new plates? Sometimes this vn reminded me of White Album 2. There are some similarities. I love long visual novels and since 2020 I was craving vn, which will took me 70 and more hours to complete. And finally I got it! Despite some cut content, this vn took 75-85 hours. But I was reading slower than usual due to some reasons (For example during the first launches I was just vibing and shaking my head to Muv-Luv ost because of nostalgia). Also, I had to buy a new hadrware for this vn, because it did not run on my old pc with very old videocard.

Took me 86 hours to complete everything other than the Another Episode + DLC, and it was a roller coaster of emotions all the way. Kiminozo is a classic for a reason. The story here starts off as a high school romance and evolves into a group of adults dealing with a scenario where every choice seems right and wrong at the same time. Despite the anime art style and the obviously cartoony aspects of some characters' personalities (I hear the term "tsundere" was first used to describe Daikuuji), there's a surprising level of psychological realism here, and much of what the characters agonize over feels true to life rather than escapist. A story about the human condition, I guess. It's really good.
