TLDR: An impossible-to progress tower defense game, dev insists it is "by design". Good riddance.
A lovely tower defense game with a twist... BUT. The developer, for some reason, has made the game so punishingly hard that even lvl2 is practically impossible to beat, even after repeated (allowed) grinding for improvements on repeatable lvl1. Dev so far responded with "yes, this is intentional". Great.

Small Tactics RTS/RTT single-player game with 0 microtransactions. You buy the game, you get the full experience. No cutting content from base game and selling it as dlc. Just like old times. First Indie game that I purchased and I must admit I wasn't expecting a game with this quality.
If you played games like Men of War Assault Squad 2, Call to Arms, Gates of Hell, then you will feel at home.
The gameplay revolves around holding the line (it's literally the title of the game ), calling in off map support assests and new soldiers as needed. You unlock new units and off map assets via acquiring points after each mission. This is a very cool and engaging system as it forces you to choose what unit to unlock next, which upgrade, which unit.
Would highly recommend to everyone who enjoys single-player games, rts, rtt and military stuff.

A small scale, tactical tower defense game with a realistic tone where the main focus is on carefully managing firing lines and defense positions with the correct amount of manpower via a simple and tight resource system.
This game is designed for gamers who want a straightforward, simple on surface but complex deeper in experience military defense situation where the use of micro terrain is paramount.

If you are looking for a fun and addictive no-nonsense tactical real-time tower defense game - look no further!
Para Bellum - Hold the Line starts off simple enough to let anyone play it, but gets progressively harder and has enough intricacies to keep the game interesting for hours and hours- A good value game in my opinion.
The game puts you in the position of a platoon commander with the objective to hold a defensive line and delay the enemy advance for as long as possible. You may lead your troops as you see best, for example by ordering your troops into static defensive positions and supporting them with indirect fire or even micro-managing an individual unit. Even though the game-play is largely resource management, tactical decisions such as placing your troops so that they have optimal firing lines with adequate cover are crucial. Personally I have enjoyed most the campaign mode that features a cohesive story-line with unique maps. The campaign also allows you to develop your platoon in a way that best suits your play-style.
TLDR; Good game, buy it now!

Interesting take on tower defense. I like how your troops are not stuck to a static position and are able to move around the map.

A cool little tactical war game with emphasis on realism. The developer is very active in discord and listens to feedback from the players. Already holds a good amount of content and I can see this growing to a gem during early access.
