what a gem It's an interactive story/RPG taking place in the Belgium during Nazi occupation and DAMN. First of all I like media about WW2, and always a fan of not-so-famous stories, like this one. Internal conflicts between Danish, Nazis, local Germans is backed up not only by story and characters, but also by mechanics! These RPGs mechanics might be one of my favorites in the genre: 1. Clear stats that show your relationship with different groups 2. Secrets that you can learn about the characters 3. Items that you can use during the dialogues(to trade for info, bribe, make relationships better, etc..) 4. By the end of each missions, you write some stuff in your diary, and you can choose some text which gives you an increase of a stat, that you can then use during dialogues. Aka using stats as consumables!!! And all these mechanics are used a lot during the dialogues! There are so many options and you can see the options that are not available to you, because you don't have stats/don't know the secret, etc... And because there is no combat in the game, everything is wrapped around the dialogues, and damn that's probably the best dialogue system I've ever experienced. It's: A) really well written B) Has tons of choices C) Uses a lot of previous mechanics D) Clear shows you the consequences of your actions/non taken actions And the writing, damn! How could they do it?? It's so well written that I even liked Reinheird, one of the Nazis that you hate in the begging. And the drunk dialogue system is MMMMMM. It's the whole ass minigame of management your drunk level during the party Another big win for this game is the "Facts". Finally, first notes that I read in the game. They are short, well written and just real facts about the real events. First game that I actually read all of them and learnt quite a bit Amazing game with amazing mechanics and amazing story
